Fuel pump replacement

After 293,000 miles on my 1993 Ford F-150 5.0, both of my fuel pumps were having issues. The mid tank float wasn't reading correctly, and both were very loud. I choose to replace the units as a whole as I felt this was for the best. Taking the old out wasn't an easy task, quick disconnect wouldn't disconnect quick. The only problem I had with the new pumps were the wiring connection. There were no wiring diagram with the new pumps. And the wire colors were different than what was on my truck. Call customer service and talk to Sarah, who was very friendly, she sent me an email of what they had for the wiring. Unfortunately, it was no help. Connecting the sending unit and ground was easy but the power and ground to the pump was trial & error. The first time was wrong. Switch 2 wires and pump running quiet. A wiring pigtail was included with the pumps. Very happy with fuel pumps. And price was great!!

I was very frustrated to find that there was no color code match up for the factory wiring. I had to look it up. But this was after I put it in the way I thought it would work and I was left stranded on the side of the road. So for anyone else buying this take note that black>red or orange, grey>black/white, purple>yellow, and black/white>black.

Exactly what I needed. Has the check valve to keep from cross flowing between tanks. Two previous purchases of different brands did not have the check valve. Pretty quiet pump as well.

Fit and finish is incorrect. I have a 1996 F150 with just the 18 gallon real fuel tank and the top of the pump is not angled enough to seal to the fuel tank and therefore cannot be used. I am currently in the process of returning it.

I have bought several parts from this site. all worked great until I got this fuel pump. it worked great for three months now nothing. I am going to order another one because I had to rewire the plug and I don't won't go thru that again

this fuel pump was the same as the old pump installed the new pigtail which was very easy fired up the truck it had 40 lbs. of fuel pressure and no leaks. good product.

I only give 3 for it only Ben in use last than A year. As for the fit it went in and for the ree Wiring of it it was easy and came with The same plug as time goes by I will rate it higher In 1995 the pump pressure was rise to 60 Psi to help inject and remove cooling fans For the injecters'( older one run less than 40 psi)
