Buy OEM parts folks. This is not one of them. After hours of fighting just to get this POS part in, it does not line up with the hood. The scratches on it, as arrived, took hours to get out. I lost at least $300 by buying this part. The people that manufactured and then sold this part should be disappointed in themselves.

yes, it needs to be painted. It is a off white plastic.

Yes you still need primer and paint it comes in beige and off white and needs to be painted to be installed
