The lift supports work just fine. It was particularly easy to install them due to the advice given to me by the auto repair expert. I would be confident to purchase auto parts from 1A Auto Parts in the future. The main problem for me to repair my car is my lack of knowledge and experience. I got my order in a couple days and it was exactly what I needed. I have been using my tailgate for a month now without having to worry about it coming down on my head. You have my full recommendation.

There was no directions included to show the best way to remove the metal clip. I had some difficulty pulling the metal clip out so I could place the ball on the tailgate into the support socket. One side worked just fine. On one side The clip bent a little, but slid onto the ball. The next day when I opened the lid the support bar popped off of the ball and stuck under pressure on top of the tail light. I very carefully pried it off and reinstalled. It has held since then. The support bars seem to be of good quality. The problem I had is most likely my instalation.

Super strong. Good quality. Super easy install...took maybe 2 minutes. Works great! My hatch opens and closes perfectly now. So happy.

Had I known that replacing the hatch lift supports was that easy I would have done it sooner. Total cost of the repair $35.95 and 10 minutes.
