I have a 2001 GMC Yukon and had taken out the tumbler on my own. Ordered this new one with key and with a little brute force it slid right in and started up. I'm not sure if it was my fault or not but it was a bit sticky when turning the truck off to remove the key but after a few days it loosened up and works fine now. Nice to have a place to order such an obscure part like this. Thanks 1aauto.com!

worked good for about three for four months just fine and then had issues, the part now has to be turned all the way to the back almost like its worn out because of old age.

Worked perfectly. Would be nice if there was a method for re-keying so you could use the original key. Couldn't find good instructions for removing the steering column covers. They hinge on the firewall side and removing them not knowing that, I broke many small plastic tabs making re-assembly difficult.

I Richard Sanchez bought a lock Cylinder , at first try the cylinder locks up on me ,now mind you this is the new one I have to take it out and reinsert it twice and it is working so far has not locked up again or at least not yet

I received my ignition lock cylinder promptly. I followed a online video and installed the ignition lock cylinder without any difficulty. If I can do it (retired college professor), you can do it as well!

I needed this set because I someone tried stealing the vehicle and ruined the ignition. Had to drill open the ignition housing and replace it with this one. Works great just a little rough inserting and removing key at the beginning being so Brand new. Great buy!

You're going to have to get it to turn to get the cylinder out and then once you replace it with the new unit it should work
