Installation only took a few minutes and the covers fit perfectly. It was difficult to find these at a decent price anywhere else, and hard to find in general. They're a small addition to my truck, but go a long ways in keeping up my truck's look and o highly recommend them.

'14 Silverado Mirror Caps

These had a great finish. Just a little scuffing and took my topcoat perfectly. Cut and buffed and I installed them. The fit was spot on.

Exactly what I wanted

Percect for what I wanted! I got rid of the chrome and replace it with black and these are a nice gloss black matched the paint and weren't to difficult to install one you figure out where the clips are its not bad. I used a flat head screwdriver but would recommend anyone use an actual trim removal tool..

I ordered the black gloss set, first the paint is really even and appears to be good quality paint. For the price of these caps I expected an average quality product that would fit but the body lines having uneven gaps between the mirror housing and the cap. Surprise to me was that it fit perfect and the body lines matched perfectly. They look and feel like the oem caps and hold themselves very tightly to the housing. You cannot beat the price and if you want black caps, its way better than having it wrapped or plasti dipped. The install took about 5-10 minutes and there is a YouTube video on how to remove the current caps and snapping in the new ones.

How do you attach the caps to the mirror and are they intended to cover the paintable area of a paint to match replacement mirror?

Hi Todd. The factory caps pop off with your hands using some force. They are held in by clips and not screws. I would advise not pulling on the caps in the cold weather as plastic can be fragile in the cold. The new caps pop right into place. There are a few YouTube videos to reference as well. The caps just gloss black with no flake to replace the chrome portion of the mirror. This is a full replacement and not a cover.

These caps are a direct replacement for your OEM mirror caps. To remove your other caps just pry them off by pulling, theyre held on by small clips that will most likely break, and to install the new caps you simply push them on until you hear them clip in.

You have to take the old cap off the mirror with a plastic pry tool first. The new cap just pops in where the original one was. I painted them to match the truck first

Hello Todd, First, you will need to remove the old mirror caps. The caps are simply held in place by clips. You will find a seam around the mirror caps, using a plastic body panel tool gently pry around the seam until you start to see a gap where the cap is starting to separate from the mirror. Once you notice this gap form, you will keep working the tool around the seam until you feel the clips release. Once all the clips are disconnected you can remove the cover, to install the new caps, just align the clips with the mounting areas on the mirror and apply pressure until you feel the clips lock into place. As far as paint goes, these are a paint to match style mirror. They do come with a gloss black finish and can be installed this way but if your vehicle had paint matched mirror covers you can have these caps painted before installation.

The old mirror caps come off and these snap into place just like the factory mirror caps. These are replacements. They come in black. If you like this color I dont think they require painting.
