Solid handles better than originals for 2001 Mazda B2500

The handles are metal and better than original on my 2001 Mazda 2500. The video install was very helpful although my Mazda had different clips that hold rod, instead the driver clip is rotated clockwise away from bar and passes get counterclockwise. I also didn't use a drill like in video and just used a punch for center of rivets and then used needle nose pliers to break off tabs on back of rivet and pull them out.

Very happy with the product! Videos were a big help with installation!

Nice Upgrade

This is a good upgrade if you hate the cheap plastic feel of the stock door handles or as a replacement for sun bleached handles. The fit was perfect and they look great. I would have given five stars except that you have to purchase the hardware to install them and the bottom of the handles has a bit or odd cut (not noticeable from above, probably a result of the casting process). Neither of these two points is significant and I would still highly recommend these.

Fits 2003 Ford Ranger

This item fit my 2003 Ford Ranger perfectly, and feels more solid than the original handles. Total replacement time was maybe 15 minutes per door, and that includes gathering my tools and working at a careful pace. Even more helpful was the YouTube tutorial on how to change them. Maybe I could have found this item cheaper elsewhere and saved a couple dollars (or maybe not, I have no idea). Having a step by step video showing replacement steps was invaluable. Shipping was also very fast too. I will always look here first when I need a vehicle part. Thanks!

Happy but...

The product was great. Unfortunately the delivery was a bit longer than expected. My biggest complaint is that the bolts/screws were not included.

Parts were made out of Sturdy steel with a good protective coating on it. Definitley not worried about pulling the handle on a cold day when the frost sticks and the handle breaking like the former cheap plastic ones.

The replacement door handles seem much sturdier than the one that broke. The video showing the installation was very helpful! I would recommend getting the little plastic clips that hold the associated rod, as they are cheap and likely to be brittle.

Although Ford poorly designed the door handles A1 Auto got it right and for a great price. I'll be a repeated costumer.

After the old handles were removed, These were a breeze to install. The metal construction is far superior to the Plastic OEM and other brand replacements. I would expect these to outlast the life of the truck. Highly recommended and only a nominal increase in price. But the pair and replace both sides. The plastic handles are bound to fail.

These handles are very nice. They are made with metal and the looped piece that broke on my original one was plastic/polymer. I would highly recommend this to replace the the OEM part. I have a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT.

Should last longer than previous plastic handles.

My driver side door handle broke a 2nd time within a year. And had obviously been replaced at least once before I bought it. I decided to try this metal replacement. The mounting plate is plastic but I haven't had issues with part and I don't think it should be a problem. For installation, I used the mounting plate from the broken handle as a template and welded two bolts to a piece of steel. I then secured it in place with lock nuts inside the door.

Yes, the whole mechanism is metal; also, because the tabs are on both ends, the handle can be used either on the left or right side door. NO plastic, better than the OEM in my opinion...

The handle and associated levers is one piece of metal but the bracket portion (the piece that gets bolted to the door is plastic.
