Factory stripped the threads

I have purchased many parts from 1A Auto and have usually been happy with my purchase but not this time. I put the new pump in and with a torque wrench set to 8 ft/lbs I tightened down the high-pressure line and then went to make sure the lower pressure line bracket (which comes on the pump from the factory) was tightened to the same spec and as I turned it, the bolt stripped the internal threads. You can't strip threads with a torque wrench set to the correct spec, which means the factory overtightened it and stripped it before they sent it to me. I used a tap and die set to clean out & rethread it but it stripped again at <4 ft/lbs so I put some blue thread locker on it in hopes that it won't back itself out. I have driven the car about 20 miles and no leaks but time will tell, I might have to cash in on the "lifetime warranty" Besides that, the pump quality itself seems to be decent, after the first few miles I did not notice any additional noise or loss of power steering capab

1st power steering pump I ordered and installed failed prematurely but I contacted 1aauto warranty department and a new replacement was shipped out in a timely matter and installed and working great so far. Fitment was good on both just most likely got a defective first one. 1aauto made it right and honored their warranty.

It did the job of stopping the leak but it is true that this item is loud and noisy just like other reviews. I would of called for a replacement but I don't want the hassle of it.
