  1. step 1 :Lubricating the Hinges
    • Locate the hinges
    • Apply water displacement oil liberally
    • Exercise the lift gate hinges
    • Add more oil if necessary

We have a rear lift gate on this Suburban that's making a squeaking noise.We're going to see when it goes down.

So there's some different hinge points that we're going to try to grease right here and here, over here and here.

We're going to use some water-displacement oil. Go over here and get all the hinges. And we're going to exercise it a couple times. So that I can exercise the lift gate a little bit better, I'm going to turn off the automatic. Sounds pretty quiet.
