Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to remove, and replace, as wells as service the bulbs on the instrument cluster on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. The only tool you'll need for this is a 7 millimeter socket and ratchet, and for some of the smaller bulbs, you may need a pair of pliers.

To start off, we need to remove the dash panel. Just make sure your steering wheel is horizontal. Pull down your shifter all the way down. Then just pull out on this panel. You want to slide it forward and up and over the steering wheel.

You want to remove these four 7 millimeter bolts. There's one in each corner on your instrument cluster. We'll just fast forward as Don removes all four of those. Now, tilt the cluster back, and then pull it up and out. Now you want to just push this tab on the harness and pull the harness free.

Now to access the bulbs, you want to use a flat blade screwdriver to pry out on these tabs. You can see these are the sockets right here. For the larger ones, you can just twist them counter clockwise, pull them out, and twist your new one in clockwise to lock it. For the small ones, they can be in there a bit harder so use the pliers to twist them out, and the same procedure. When you're done, just push this cover back into place.

Tilt your instrument cluster back down, reconnect the harness, and then slide that back into place. Once you've got it lined up and pushed back into place, just replace those four 7 millimeter bolts. Take your dash panel and put it up over the steering wheel and then tuck it down behind that steering column. Line up the panel and push it back into place. You're all set.
