How To Replace Third Brake Light Bulbs 1996-2007 Ford Taurus

Pretty simple operation once you know how to do it. No tools are required. To access your third brake light, you want to open up your trunk and then underneath, okay you can see that there's a grommet holding. You want to put your hands on the sides of that grommet and shift back and forth, side to side and pull down and now up and underneath. Now you can see there are the two sockets for your third brake light, up underneath. What you want to do is reach up in and twist and pull the light down. Then pull the socket, pull the light out of the socket. Now take the new bulb and push it into the socket. Now put the socket back up in there, twist clockwise to lock it back in place and repeat that same procedure for the other bulb.
