step 1 :Servicing the Bulbs
- Pop open the trunk
- Disconnect the wiring harness
- Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise out of the light
- Pull the bulb off of the socket
- Push on the new bulb
- Twist the bulb clockwise into the light
- Plug in the wiring harness

Need to replace your third brake light bulb or high mounted stock light, as they sometimes call it? Open up your trunk and go underneath. The bulb and socket is here. I'm going to unplug it so it's a little easier to get out. This was a little loose.
I'm just going to turn it counterclockwise, pull it out. You need to replace this bulb. It's a 7440. Just unplugs. Plugs back in. I'm going to reach up, put it back into the socket. Put it back in the housing. Kind of find the tabs. Fits in.
Going to turn it clockwise to lock it. Push that connector back in. That bulb was replaced.
