2001 Kia Optima Rear Driver & Passenger Side 2 Piece Shock & Spring Assembly Set TRQ SCA61079

The upper control arm bolts that thread into the mounting bracket of the shock & spring assembly did not thread in smoothly. They were very difficult. I called 1A telling them of the problem with the thought that I would send the assembly back but instead of that hassle, I spent half a day working the bolts in and out of the holes. The thread height in the bolt hole seemed to be slightly too high. Almost bought some taps to try and rectify the problem. Finally got them so I could back them in and out sufficiently to perform the final threading while the vehicle was in its normal riding position not on jack stands. The thread hole, in my opinion, was either not drilled and threaded properly and/or the difficulty was due to rust in the thread holes which was visible when I first started having trouble. The height of the threads on the bolts after working them in and out of the holes was noticeably smaller as my son who helped me commented. The bolt holes in the strut assembly were not pl

The struts were of good quality, however, the bolt holes for the Control Arms were not the same as OEM. You'll have to purchase new bolts, these were standard, where the OEM were metric. Overall, it was a straight forward replacement.
