2010 Lincoln MKZ pads and rotors

I bought this kit for my 2010 Lincoln MKZ. The pads are ceramic and appear to be very well made. They actually look like the OEM pads. They fit perfectly. The rotors were machined perfectly as well. Fitment was a breeze. I just hope everything lasts a while. Time will surely tell. 1Aauto shipped very quickly and I will do business with them again. Thanks 1Aauto !

The brake kit I purchased was good not Excellent. The rear brake pad prongs had to be filed down to slide freely in the calipers ... It also did not come with new sheet metal slides luckily the old ones cleaned up good enough. But my Ford fusion stops now, and that's a good thing.

I was very surprised about the quality of the product and the availability online with your company . Not to mention the price was considerably less than other competitors and the fit was perfect. I was also surprised with the ease of installation. Granted Ive done this job before on all the vehicles Ive had. It was a joy and only took me 2.5 hours to jack up the vehicle, remove the old parts, install the new ones. I also rotated the tires !

Excellent price for the quality. On par with AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts with parts quality for just about half the price. Parts were not labeled to tell front rotors from rear but you can tell them apart because fronts are vented, rear is a solid rotor. This included a lubrication packet and a set of pad dampening clips for top and bottom of brake shoes, where they touch the bracket only. A hardware kit to rebuild the caliper was $30, Id be willing to pay a few more bucks for this kit if it included the bushings and boots.

Ive done a lot of brake jobs but Im getting a little older and have never done rear discs before so I watched the how to video from A1 auto (which was exactly the way it went for me, thanks A1) I ordered the pad and rotor kit and it came in 2 days. Can honestly say it transformed the Ford Fusion Hybrid. Some of that was due to grossly improperly installed break pad. Now it stops like a real car. The new rotors and pads are a good deal.

It would depend on the type of rotor you purchase. The type you have show in the part description are a premium ceramic. Ceramic rotors are what are used in high performance cars. They cool quickly and provide an excellent stop, but are on the expensive side. Cast iron are an old school type rotor and are on the heavy side so they will add weight to your vehicle. These are good for commuting vehicles. Aluminum rotors are generally better for two wheeled vehicles as they weigh less, these rotors tend to melt at lower temperatures. Steel rotors weigh less, are thinner and they also dissipate heat quickly. But they tend to warp fast due to the thinness.
