How To Remove Rear Door Panel 1998-2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue

How to remove or replace the interior door panel trim on your vehicle. You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs, for example door handles, window regulators, power window motors, door locks and more to the Oldsmobile Intrigue, years 98, 99, 00, 01, and 02.

step 1 :Removing the Door Panel
- Pry up the window switch panel with a flat blade screwdriver
- Disconnect the window switch wiring harness
- Pry off the trim piece inside the door handle with a flat blade screwdriver
- Remove the T30 Torx screw inside the switch panel
- Remove the T30 Torx screw behind the door pull
- Remove the Phillips screw from the door handle
- Remove the door handle bezel
- Pry out the door panel with a door panel clip tool or putty knife
- Lift the door panel up and off

step 2 :Installing the Door Panel
- Lift the door panel into place
- Push in the door panel clips
- Push on the door handle bezel
- Insert the Phillips screw in the door handle
- Insert the T30 Torx screw behind the switch panel
- Insert the T30 Torx screw behind the door pull
- Connect the window switch wiring harness
- Push in the window switch panel
- Push on the trim piece inside the door handle

In this video, I'm going to show you how to remove and then reinstall a rear door panel on this '99 Olds Intrigue, same as any '98 to '02 Intrigue. The tools you'll need include flat and Phillips screwdrivers, a T30 Torx driver, and either a putty knife or a door panel clip tool.
Okay, to remove this rear door panel, you want to pull up on the back of your power window switch plate and then pull it back. Turn it over. Use a flat blade screwdriver, push on, and there's a tab here. Push on that tab and disconnect it. Okay, then right here behind the door handle you'll see a little slot at the bottom. You're going to pry the trim plate here up.
Okay, now behind there's a Phillips screw, a T30 Torx screw there, and a T30 torx screw up through there. We'll pick up the pace here as I remove those two T30 Torx screws, and then remove the Phillips screw behind the door handle. Okay, now, it's held around the edges with clips. Start with a putty knife, and you can put it in there. Move down until you feel a clip. As you pull it out, if you want, you can actually continue with your putty knife, or use a door panel clip tool. Get right around that clip, pull, and then you can see it comes off. Use your clip tool or putty knife to go around the edge of the door. As your come to a clip, pull it off, and then the door panel comes right off.
Okay, to put it back on, easy enough. Put your clips in. Press through there. It looks like when they put this together they bent some of the clips, so I'm going to bend them back. Just, kind of, go back in here. Put some of the clips right into their holes. You have to just kind of reach in there and guide them a little bit. Put that right back in. Torx screw. Reconnect your window switch.
