How to Remove Rear Door Panel 2008-12 Ford Escape

How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a rear door panel on 08, 09, 10, 11, 12

  1. step 1 :Removing the Rear Door Panel
    • Pry up the cover from the door pull with a pick
    • Remove the Phillips screw from the door pull
    • Pry up the window switch bezel up with a trim tool
    • Disconnect the wiring harness
    • Pry out the trim panel behind the door handle
    • Remove T40 screw from the door handle
    • Remove the three Phillips from the end of the door panel
    • Pry out the perimeter of the door panel with a trim tool
    • Pull the door panel up and off
    • Disconnect the door latch cable
  2. step 2 :Reinstalling the Rear Door Panel
    • Connect the door latch cable
    • Lift the door panel up into place
    • Press the door panel in to the door
    • Tighten the Phillips screw to the end of the door panel
    • Tighten the T30 Torx screw to the door handle
    • Press the door trim into place
    • Connect the wiring harness to the window switch
    • Press the window switch into place
    • Tighten the Phillips screw to the door pull
    • Press the trim cover into the door pull
