First, you want to open the engine compartment or the hood. To do that, pull out the hood release lever. Then up underneath the hood, you pull the little lever on the hood latch to your right as you're looking at it. Then lift up the hood.
The battery is over on the passenger side, and we're going to remove two braces that have six 13 millimeter bolts. There are four that hold this corner brace on, and then one here. One way down in here that hold this battery tray brace in place. Use a 13 millimeter socket, ratchet, and extension, and remove them. Two 10 milliliter nuts hold the battery cables in place, so undo the negative cable first.
Loosen that up. You should be able to move the cable, and twist it back and forth and pull it up and off. Now there's a 13 millimeter bolt right down here that holds the battery clamp in place. We’ll use a longer extension to help us reach that. The battery should be loose. Most batteries have some kind of strap or means of lifting them. This one slides forward, up, and out.
Here’s a replacement battery. Basically, tilt the front down, and slide it in. Make sure you have the negative towards the back of the vehicle and the positive towards the front. Take the clamp and bolt. Find its way in, thread it in, and then tighten it up. Once that's tight, make sure the battery is in there secure, and it is.
Put the positive cable back on first. Push it down firmly, and then tighten it up. Then repeat for the negative cable. You may get a spark or two as the current starts to draw. Push it down firmly and tighten it. Take this brace back into place, scoot it forward and then back. Start the bolts in. Tighten all these up.
