In this video, we'll be showing you how to replace the rear door handle on this 1995 Honda Accord, same as any 1994 to 1997. The only tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver and you may also need a regular screwdriver, as well.
Replacing the inside door handle on one of these vehicles is quite simple. There's a Phillips screw you need to remove, right there. Normally, there's actually a little door here that you'd probably use a small regular screwdriver to flip open, but on this car, it's broken. You take your handle, slide it forward, and then it comes out. Behind there is a little clip here, that you just use your finger, or maybe you might want a whole screwdriver. We'll pry that clip off. Pull this lock rod up and out. Then, there's your power window clip. You push down on this and pull to disconnect it. There's your door handle out. Mostly what happens on these is this plastic part back here breaks, or sometimes, one of the plastic levers in here breaks.
The new handle from 1AAuto, you can see it's all the same. The clip, you will need to just take these two Phillips screws out and transfer your switch onto here. Since this handle is in good shape I'm just going to reinstall it as is. Hook up power window switch. Just take your rod, lock rod, push it down into the clip. Then you swing that clip around, clip it on. Push the handle into the door, and then back. Then, reinstall your screw and you're all set.
