Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20+ years' experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly. That's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we show you tail light replacement on this 2005 Explorer Sport Trac, same as any 01-05 Sport Trac. The only tools you'll need are a 8mm socket and ratchet.
To remove your tail light, there's 3 plugs here, which expose 3 bolts. These bolts are either 8 mm or 5/16in works. So then you pull the white out. It just has a couple of little tabs that go into the body here. Once you have it out, you need to service the bulbs. They twist out. Then there's your tail light out.
So this is the replacement from 1A Auto. This is the original. You can see 1A Auto's is exactly the same, a little crispier and shinier. It's got the same connections, and the bolts and everything is going to go in together exactly the same way. I'm going to put this one back on because there's nothing really wrong with it at this point. So, to fit the bulbs, twist. Fit the bulbs, twist. Then line up the tabs in the body here. It'll let you push the harness into the truck a little bit. Put the tabs in. Push it in a little bit and replace the bulbs. Then don't forget to put your plugs back in. I generally just force one side in and then push with my toe, and then you're all set.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Feel free to call us toll free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person. Thank you.
