Hi, I'm Mike Green from 1A Auto. Today, I'm going to show you how to remove and replace the headlights on this vehicle. It's a 1999 Suburban. It's generally the same as a 1988 to 99 Chevy or GMC truck, as well as the '92 to '99 Suburban, Yukon, the 2-door Jimmy full sized, and the Tahoe. With that, the first thing we're going to do is open up the hood to access the headlight. If you're looking to replace your light bulbs, locate these two five millimeter studs. Remove them with socket or a wrench. Your light comes out. You have access to the back of the headlights. You can just unplug the low beam and the high beam and replace the bulbs. If you're looking to replace the headlight assemblies, stay with us. We'll go into more detail on that. In behind there's a mounting plate; if your headlight's been damaged, normally this mounting plate is damaged also. If we want to replace the whole headlight assembly, we'll have to remove the grill.
To do that, what we do next is remove the parking light. It has four Phillip's screws that we take out. Okay, let's speed this up a little bit. You remove the light. You just click the thumbs and twist and pull the lights out. Your parking light's removed; the opposite parking light. There are ten screws which we're going to quickly show you on the grill. These screws hold the grill in, two behind the parking lights, two in the middle, two behind the opposite side parking lights, and then four up top. I got the 10 bolts out. You can see the headlights are still in. The marker lights are still in, but they are unplugged. Once those bolts are out, you can pull it forward. Just make sure everything comes apart in here. Bulbs and stuff are clear. The grill's out, separate.
You can easily unbolt your headlight assemblies. From here we're looking at the driver's side headlight assembly, we'd remove this bolt, this bolt, this bolt, and this bolt. Going to unplug; your headlight's free. This is the new headlight assembly. Okay, and quadruple time. Shops charge 50 bucks an hour for this stuff. This has got to be worth 200 bucks an hour anyways. Look at that hand movement. I don't even know if tools move that fast. Now that the light's bolted in, we can connect the headlight harnesses. Once the headlight harnesses are connected, we'll reach into the cockpit real quick. Test the low beams, click on the high beams. Oh! Everything looks good.
We can put the grill back on, just reverse your procedure. Tilt it in there. Pull the lights through first, each side. Tilt it in. There's a little harness in the center, too. Make sure that doesn't get pinched in there. Push it up in. The top, the plastic lip goes up over the top of the sheet metal. Once everything looks right, we'll bolt it back in. You're ready to go. Ten they're seven millimeter bolts. We've re-installed the grill. We need to reinstall, we need to plug in the markers and install the parking lights. We're now back in close-up. This you put in and you twist. These go in just like they came out. You get them to click as they lock into place. A shot of espresso or two.
There I am standing in front of the truck. My lips aren't moving. I am talking to you through the magic of computers. We hope this video helped you out how you can see we got our lights back in. Our grill's on and our parking lights.

In this video, we're going to be working with our 1996 GMC Sierra. We're going to show you how to remove and replace your vehicle's turn signals. If you like this video, please click subscribe. We have a ton more information on this and many other vehicles. And if you need these parts for your truck, you can follow the link down in the description over to 1AAuto.com.
Here are the items you'll need for this repair.
Remove the four Phillips head screws on the outside edges of your turn signal. We'll do this using a Phillips screwdriver. Once the screws are out, you can pull the housing forward. Remove the electrical connectors. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.
Here we have our turn signals that were removed from our vehicle, and our parts from 1AAuto.com. As you can see, these parts are exactly the same, with the same housings and lenses. Back side has the same openings at the bulb sockets. And we have the same four bulb mounting location. You could see the old ones really fogged up. They're not going to let a lot of light through. They don't look good. These new parts are nice and clear, nice and bright. They're going to get that light through so other people can see what you're doing and update the front of your truck. They'll go in direct fit, just like your original equipment and fix you up right.
Reinstall the lights into the turn signals. Install them into the grill, along with the four Phillips head screws. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.
Thanks for watching. Visit us at 1AAuto.com for quality auto parts, fast and free shipping, and the best customer service in the industry.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service as well as replace the entire taillight assembly on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. We show you on the driver side, but the passenger side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this include new taillights from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, and a Phillips screwdriver.
Using your flat blade screwdriver, you want to pry out this cap and this cap right here. Now, you want to remove this Phillips screw and this Phillips screw. We'll just fast-forward as Don does that. Now, pull the taillight straight out and then pull back on the tab on this harness and pull it free.
Now, if you want to just service the bulbs, you just remove these two Phillips screws holding on this panel. Now, you just pull the bulb out and then push your new one in. The other two are the exact same way. If your circuit board ever breaks, we do offer exact replacements at 1AAuto.com.
To replace the bulbs, you can just put that circuit board back into place and replace those two Phillips screws. In the back is the original light; in the middle is the new light from 1AAuto. You can see in exact replacement. We also offer kind of a performance style and these styles do change from time to time. This is example of what we were offering when this video is done.
To re-install, plug it back in, put the light in place, and line up the holes, and re-install those two screws.
Replace those two caps. To give you a better idea of how they look, on the left is the new one and on the right is the old one. You can see they're identical. These just look a little bit newer. Then for the performance taillight and just a close up of it. And you're all set.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the grille on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. It's the same part and process on these Tahoes from '95 to 2000. The items you'll need for this are a new grille from 1AAuto.com, Phillips screwdriver, 7mm and 13mm socket and ratchet with an extension, and flat blade screwdriver.
You want to first remove these four Phillips screws. We'll just fast forward as Don does this. Pull the light out and twist these sockets counterclockwise and pull them out. Then you want to twist this socket out of your side marker light. Then repeat the process on the other side.
Next, you want to remove this series of 7mm bolts. We'll just fast forward as Don does this. There's one more 7mm bolt right here. Once those are removed, you want to just lift up this tab and pull the grille forward and there's another one on the other side. There's another clip right in the center, using a stick or a long screwdriver, you just want to push that tab and then pull out on that center tab. Just to give you a better look at it, it's this tab right here.
Up top, is the old grille; below it, are the two from 1A Auto. In the middle is an exact replacement of the old grille and on the bottom is an all chrome version, which we'll be installing on this truck, but first we have to swap over all the stuff from the old grille. You just want to remove these ten 13mm nuts. We'll just fast forward as Don does this. You also want to swap over these clips and there are eight of them in total, four on one side, and four on the other. To remove them, all you do is push in those four triangular pieces, and it just pops out and if gives you any trouble, you can use a flat blade screwdriver to help push it through. We'll fast forward as Don takes the new grille and starts attaching those side marker reflectors and the side marker lights and replacing those 13mm nuts. For the badge, just push it into the center and, just like with the lights, replace those two 13mm nuts. Now, take those eight clips and just push them into place.
Once those are in place, take your grille and pull your parking light sockets through. Then, you want to line up the tabs on the grille, and the first one you want to do is the center one and just push down that tab and push the tab on the grille into place until it locks. Now, line up those side ones and push those into place. We'll just fast forward here as Don replaces those five 7mm bolts. There's four along the top of the grille and then that one in the center just above the badge.
Now, twist your side marker light back into place and then twist your two parking light sockets back into place, just turning them clockwise to lock them. Then push the assembly into place and replace those four Phillips screws. Just repeat the process on the other side.

Today we're going to replace a parking light for a GM truck and SUV. All that you need is a Phillips screwdriver. It's a pretty easy process.
There are four Phillips screws that hold the parking light on here. Use a Phillips screwdriver. In this case, we have a screw gun and we'll speed the video up a little bit for you. Once those screws are out, the parking light comes right out. There's little thumb locks and you just twist the bulbs and pull them out. Your parking light is out.
Replacement is just a reversal of the procedure. You take your light, put the bulbs in, twist and lock them into place. Put the light in its place. You have your four screws. In a minute we'll speed it up again for you. Thread the four screws in first and then use your power tool or just a regular screw driver and tighten the screws. The screws don't have to be over tight. It is a plastic lens so you don't want to tighten it too much and break the screws. That's it.
Remember this video is brought to you by www.1AAuto.com. The parts in this video can be resourced there. We thank you and we hope this helps with your project.

Hi. I'm Mike Green. In this video, I'm going to show you how to replace the taillights on, this is a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, but the taillight procedure is the same for this style suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, and also the 88 to 98 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. We'll get to it.
Taillights, once you open the tailgate or the rear doors, are held in by two screws, one down there, and one up in there. What I have here is a magnet to help me not drop these screws when they come out. If you do end up dropping one, it's just a regular screw. You can get one from the hardware store to replace them.
Now that we have removed the screw, then we can just pull on the light a little bit. There is a gasket around the edge, so it does stick. Now that the light is separated, you can just reach in and, with your thumb, pull back the tab and pull out the harness. This here is your taillight connector board. Sometimes, if you're taillight's not working, you replace this board, and it will work. Also, if you just want to replace the bulbs, you just remove the two little screws here, pull the board out, and you can replace the bulbs.
With that, now we can reinstall it, hook up the harness, get the tabs to line up, and push it in. Line up your tabs, then put the screws in. What I would suggest for putting the screws back in is put the screw on the screwdriver, very carefully put it in. Same thing with the bottom one, very carefully.
There you have it. Taillight replacement on a 92 to 99 Suburban or 88 to 99 Chevy or GMC truck. Not much more than a Phillips screwdriver, a pen magnet if you have one, and you're set. You can either fix the damaged one, or if your light's not working in your replace the bulbs, and also replace the taillight connecting board.
We hope this helps you out. Check out www.1AAuto.com for all your parts needs. Thank you. In this video, we're going to show you how to replace as well as service the bulb in a side marker light on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. We show you in the passenger side, but the driver side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this include a new side marker light from 1AAuto.com, a Phillips screwdriver and a 13mm socket and ratchet.
Start off by removing these four Phillips screws. We'll just fast-forward as Don does this. Once those removed, pull the light out, and you just twist the sockets counterclockwise to remove them.
Now to service the bulb on your side marker light. You just twist the socket out and the bulb pulls straight out. You push your new one in, and then the socket twist back into the side marker light.
To change the assembly, you want to remove these two 13mm nuts, so just twist out that socket and remove those two nuts. We'll just fast-forward here as Don does this. Once those are removed, the side marker light will pull right out.
On the left is the old side marker light; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they'll mount exactly the same.

Now take your parking light and twist those two parking light sockets into place by just twisting them clockwise to lock them. Then push your parking light assembly into place. Make sure all four of those holes line up, and replace those four Phillips screws. Then you're all set.

Great complete lens and bulb kit for 1999 Chevy Tahoe
Mark
March 18, 2017
The light kit was much needed for my 18 year old Tahoe. The headlight lenses that I had were allowing water to penetrate, so water was sloshing around. This new kit bolted right up, after the grill was removed.(Per the video instructions). The headlights and tail lights came with all bulbs required. So, the only bulbs that would be required for complete replacement would be the two Parking/turn signal bulbs. 2357a I believe. Along with the two 194 bulbs for the front side turn markers. Giving this kit a 5 star rating, hopefully they provide several years of service before they cloud up.
I Love 'em

What a difference new headlights have made. Definitely the right choice and quality parts. All fit with no problem although I tightened the side turn indicators too much and broke them myself. Would definitely order again though dont expect to need to as I can see so much better!

Well, the title says it! Can't beat the prices, that's for sure. The customer service has been off the charts as far as I'm concerned. Bought a 10 piece light set and unfortunately passenger side headlamp adjustment screw stopped adjusting midway. No ones fault, just one of those things. Well I called and no qualms from CS, they made it right! No additional charge. They shipped the replacement that day. I have been recommending 1A Auto to everyone that will listen. The best!

Lower Corner Lights, Parking Lights, and taillights worked great. Headlights was a big disappointment. Either side would not adjust up and down. Pain in the A modifying to make them work. Had two of my shop mechanics look at them also. I guess you get what you pay for.

I recieved my lights in three days as told they were packed very well with no damage. The fit was almost perfect but what wasn't could have been due to after market grille. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend 1Aauto for your truck or auto.

All lights work perfect. Only issue where the side reflectors. The fit is not perfect so I had to trim some of the plastic so it can couple properly. I could see that being a problem for others but with a little patience it worked out fine. BTW besides the trimming my 13 yr old son installed all the parts plus the rear cargo light. I had him watch the YouTube videos and he was able to install everything. Great bonding time while I installed other parts.
Great deal

1A Auto was the third co. I ordered from, first two sent back, did not fit or broke, not same part.
1A Auto got it correct the first time, less money, and fast shipping, made my 1996 Tahoe look "O so clean" I will only use 1A Auto for my go to, for any and all part's needed for my Chevy.
Very happy!!!

Full light kit purchased. Tail lights fit perfect, side reflectors and light fit very well parking lights went in perfectly. Only problem was with the main headlights, they fit perfect but I had to back out the bulb mounting plate as the were so tight I could not get test bulbs out. Over all very pleased with my purchase, shipping time, fitment, price and overall experience. Would recomend to others and will be buying more as budget allows restoring classic trucks.
Everything went well

I bought it for the head and tail lights. They look great and installed with no trouble. The amber side lights did not fit well and one was broken in the package. I didn't need marker lights so it didn't matter to me but it was disappointing not to have all new lenses which I paid for. Another positive is that it included OEM bulbs in the assembly. Overall, it is a good value for the convenience of having everything in one box.

Time frame from ordering to delivery was outstanding. Only problem I had was the side markers did not fit as well as the originals. Had to buy sealant to put between grill and edges of markers. Not a lot, but needed in order to keep water out and away from bulbs. All other parts fit perfectly. We installed these on a 1996 Chevrolet C2500 Silverado,
We would Recommend this product as a good replacement.
Just okay

I would make sure they have a warranty before buying. Mine are 1year and two months old and the drivers side headlight is full of moisture. It's bad when you kind of expect things like this.

Lights fit as expected. Very safely packaged and only a marker light was cracked and I think maybe packed that way. Replacement was quickly shipped and arrived safely. Big improvement over the faded original lights.
