In this video, we'll be replacing the parking lights on a 2001 Chevy S10 pickup, basically the same as most '98 to '04 S10s. This one does not have fog lights, the parking lights are different for ones that have fog lights and do not have fog lights. It's pretty easy. No tools are necessary.
We start by removing the headlights, which is pretty simple. There are two tabs that pull up, that lock the headlight into place and then you rotate the light forward and pull it out and then just use thumb and unlock the headlight harnesses. Then the side marker light bulb twists out and your headlight is free. Now we're going to remove the parking light and it's locked in by a double tab here. You use your other hand to press out on the light a little bit while you pushing on the tabs with a screwdriver and it will come unlocked pretty quick. Then there is a third tab that holds it in, on this one it kind of came right out but on the side and I'll show it to you later, there's another tab that locks it in. Then, once the parking light is out, it's a twist tab, it's a thumb tab and then twist and your parking light is out.
Here with the light out you can see the mounting tabs better. There's two alignment tabs there and there's the big square clip. This is the one that can be a problem when you're removing the parking light and it's actually easy enough to reach in from the side and hit that with your finger and pull it and have it unlock. I'll just continue to show you where those tabs go.
Insert the bulb and twist. It can be a little bit of a pain and then twist and put it in. Then push it back into place. Change the angle, here, so you can see from the top. Make sure that goes in correctly. Then push the other side. Then I also grab the inside of the grill just to make sure everything's in.
Now there are tabs in the headlights that go down in those slots, I'm going to spray them with a little oil just to make things easier. Those are the tabs, they go into the slots when you're putting the headlight in. Now we're going to get ready, we're going to plug in the harness here and what I'm going to show you next after we plug in the harness is you want to make sure that harness doesn't get pinched in. There's actually on those tabs that I showed you, there's a little ledge built on and you wrap the harness up and around that ledge. I'll show you here. I'm grabbing the harness and I'm bringing it up on top of the tabs that are on the tabs, if you have one of these lights in your hand you'll see what I mean. Then you put the light in and it's kind of a little ballet of pushing the bottom down, making sure those tabs go into those slots and then getting the upper tabs back into the radiator support.
You can actually look down into the holes and see everything pretty clearly. You can get it. Then once you got that, you put the locking tabs back in, which unfortunately I didn't get a great shot of here, but lock the tabs back in and you are all set. That's it. A grille replacement takes probably about 30, 35 minutes and if you do your headlights and parking lights at the same time you can really freshen up the front end of you S10.

In this video, we're going to show you how to change the bulb, as well as change the whole parking and marker light assembly on this 2000 S10 Blazer, same as the pickup.
Removing the headlights is pretty easy. There's actually two tabs right here that you pull up and off. Be careful not to drop them. Once those tabs are removed you pull the headlight forward and you disconnect or remove the headlight bulbs. You can remove them by twisting or you can disconnect the harnesses and there's also a side marker light that you would twist out.
Now with the light out of the way, you can see there's actually a bulb right here. There's a tab that you need to press right here with your finger and then twist this and you can pull the bulb out to replace it. Then you pull it from the socket here.
If you're looking to replace this whole assembly there's, I believe, a tab right back here and then a tab right here. I'm going to take and squeeze those tabs. Push it forward and then it comes out.
Now if you broke your parking light, here's my original and a new one from 1A Auto. You can see it's all the same. It's going to mount in there the same. To install, I'm going to put my bulb back into my socket, here. On the back of the light there are all kinds of different tabs and they line up with different slots in the grill. Put it back in. Make sure the tabs come through. Then, insert your bulb back here. Get it into the right place here and lock it in place. Now reinstall your headlight. It's a nice new one from 1A Auto to go with your new parking light. Connect everything and then the biggest thing to realize is there are two tabs here. They go down into slots here, so you want to plug in your high beam, and I did replace the headlights into the assembly here. Then make sure that the harnesses aren't interfering with those tabs. Push your light back in and lift up the back a little bit. You can look through, and lift up the back. Make sure it's going in there correctly. Push it on top, push it back in and then put your clips back on.

In this video, we'll be replacing the headlight in this 2001 Chevy S10 Pickup. Basically the same as any '98 to 2004 S10 pickup with the Style lights, very easy procedure, you don't even need any tools and we'll get right to it.
You're going to open up the hood and then there's two locking tabs that you see on the top of the screen there, I'm pulling up on them. Place those locking tabs there where they're safe and they don't fall in and you don't have to fish them out, like I did a couple of times. Then, you pull the headlight forward and it's out. Then, you can unplug your lights and service the bulbs, if you need to do that or if a rock jumped up and hit the light or whatever, you can replace your entire headlight, too.
Then, there's two slots that I'm going to spray some lubricant on just to make it easy to get everything together. Right there, that slot and that slot. Then, I'll show you the tabs. These tabs go into those slots, okay? The other thing is you don't want to pinch your wires. I'm going plug in the harnesses here and I'm going to show you how to make sure you don't pinch the wires. Those tabs I showed you a few seconds ago, they also have tabs that come forward. Once you have one of these lights in your hands, you'll understand what I mean. What you do is you take the harnesses and you put them up on top of the protruding tabs. That keeps them from getting in behind the other tabs and getting caught between the metal and the plastic of the headlight, okay?
Put your headlight back in there. This is a little ballet of pushing on the backside of the headlight, pushing in and down at the same time and then getting everything to line up. You can see down, there's a couple of holes that you can see down into to see how things are lined up. Once you get it, it goes in and then you put your locking tabs, which I didn't do a very good job videoing there, I apologize. You put your locking tabs back on and you're all set.

In this video we're going to show you how to remove and replace the lights or the headlights on this S10 Blazer. This is a 2000. It is similar for some of the S15 Jimmies as well. You don't need any tools unless you're looking to adjust them. Then you'll need either a Phillips screwdriver or a small socket and ratchet.
Removing the headlights is pretty easy. There's actually two tabs right here, which you pull up and off. Be careful not to drop them. Once those tabs are removed, the headlight comes forward. Okay, if you're just looking to replace your headlight bulbs, you could just grab them and twist. They come out. Disconnect them here by pulling back on these tabs. Disconnect the harness. This side marker just twists and pulls out. This one here twists and comes out. Tab goes out and now your whole assembly is out. If you did break your headlight for some reason or whatever, new headlight from 1A Auto, you can see it's all the same, nice chrome surround. Back is going to be all the same.
As far as aiming the headlight, you've got two screws here. They have both a Phillips and it looks like about a seven-millimeter socket head. This one you can reach from the front. This one here, you reach by using an extension and going right down through here I believe. Yeah, so you would go right through there. What you can do at first is to just adjust it so that the distance between here on your old one and then the distance between here on your old one matches the new one. That gives you a good preliminary aim.
About installation, obviously connect the harnesses. I did swap over the bulbs already. Plug in the harnesses. Okay, plug in your marker light. You go to put the light in, you can right there, and there are two big slots. On the light there are these two tabs. Those two tabs go into those slots. Once you have your lights hooked up, you just want to make sure that your harness here is not interfering with these tabs going into those slots. I'm going to put the light in. Make sure it doesn't get caught on this cable, your hood latch cable. Put it into place. Kind of push the bottom in first. You are going to feel those tabs go into the slots. Then look back in the back. Make sure you're lined up. Push it down and back.
Then the back, it's going to come through these two square holes here. You can see there's the light. I'll push it through. As you're putting these on, you want to put the large area around that and then that goes down. The slot goes down and over that. Push the light back. Push your plastic retainers down. Then again, like I said, you'll now adjust it by turning this screw. I believe counter-clockwise brings the light down and clockwise brings the light up. Then down in here, I believe, clockwise probably aims the light more to the left. Counter-clockwise probably aims it more to the right.
In order to get your beam correct, you want to measure the distance from the floor up to your light, and then from 20 feet away you want to make sure that the beam is pointing straight. A low beam should be pointing one inch down, and a high beam should be pointing straight ahead as well and it should be pointing level. If you park this 20 feet away from a wall on a level surface and you measure up and it is say, 32 inches on the wall, the concentration of beam should be a 32 inches, and the concentration of beam for the low beam should be at 31 inches.
