We're going to remove the mass air flow sensor. It's right here off the air box air cleaner assembly. Start by unplugging it. Place that aside. This is a T-15 Torx screw. Make sure you grab those screws so you don't drop them. Just pop this out. It's got a little seal on it. It'll come right out.
This is the old mass air flow sensor. It's got five pins in there. This is the new one. Five pins. Virtually identical. These are your heating elements and sensing elements in here. You don't want to touch those. Just leave them alone. It's got the O-ring in here that's going to seal on the intake tube. This should fit right in.
We're going to install our new one. It does have a key here and a key here. It also has an arrow in the direction of airflow. You just want to make sure that this arrow is pointing towards the engine, 'cause otherwise this key way shouldn't let you install it, but you don't want to try to force it. That should seat right in there on the O-ring. You'll feel it seat right in there. You got your screws, T-15 Torx, just have a very light Torx. Basically hand tight, 'cause they're just screws in the plastic. To complete it, just plug the harness back in.
