In this video we're going to show you how to service the headlights on this 2004 Stratus, the same as any 2001-2006. We'll show you both if you just need to replace the bulb as well as if you need to replace your entire headlight if you had some damage or your headlights are fogged up and cloudy and it's getting tough to see at night. Tools you'll need are 7 mm socket and ratchet or wrench, flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver if you have to adjust the headlights.
There are two 7 mm bolts, one here and one here. You want to remove those. I've got a 7 mm socket with a ratchet and extension. You could actually do this with a 7 mm wrench, no problem which will take a little longer. As you can see the shorter bolt with the large washer is on the outside and the longer one is on the inside. You'll also want to use a regular screwdriver. There are some clips here. You pry up the pins in the middle and sometimes they're a little tough to get out. You usually have to work them a little bit and pull them out. Okay, that allows us to pull out these clips, and that just gives the light. There's a pin back here. Pull out on that pin and that point comes up out.
Okay, now from in behind, you've got a bulb here. Turn that counterclockwise and pull it out. This bulb just pulls from the socket. Push this back in. Here's your headlight. You unclip that. Now you can see your whole headlight is out. Just twist this ring counterclockwise and that comes off. Your bulb can get stuck in here a little bit. It comes out. Place it, there are a couple of tabs in here. Make sure everything lines up. Put it in and lock it in. Obviously here's our old light. A new light from 1A Auto. This car has actually got pretty low mileage, so the light is not too bad. Even still you can see how much more clear the new light from 1A is going to be.
Then as the car gets more mileage those lights get dimmer and so our light from 1A is going to install just like the original. I'm going to peel off this plastic a little bit from the edges. Okay, this bulb goes right here. Okay, now for our headlight. Get it down in and take the headlight. You're going to kind of want to put in place and pull out on the face a little bit. Get it down in. You can and I just did it, you can get it in a little too far. You don't want it in too far. Okay, push it in. There's a little pin right here. You have to line up with a clip in the fender. Just push it over. Push that in. Put that bolt there. Shove this down in. You might have to push on it a little bit to get it started.
Okay, a little fast forward here as we just tighten up those two bolts. You want to get them nice and firm, don't over tighten them though. Okay, re-install the three clips that hold the front fascia above the grill and then remove the plastic from the headlight. Okay, once installed this adjuster here moves the headlight up and down. This adjuster in here moves the headlight left and right. To align the headlights basically what you want to do is measure the distance up to your headlight bulb and with the low beams on 20 feet away on a flat surface your beams should be concentrated one inch below the height of your headlight and straight ahead and 20 feet away on a flat surface as well your high beam should be focused at the same height as your headlight bulb.

I recommend. Delivery was fast and tracking convenient. Did left side head light. Good fit. Front Fascia: Did have to take out the center push pin fasteners and two screws at LS wheel well to lower fascia and install HL. After that it was just electrical connectors and 2 mounting bolts. Mounts like OEM.
