Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the side mirror on this 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver side is a similar procedure. The items you'll need for this are a new side mirror from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, 7mm socket and ratchet, T30 Torx bit, 7/16"? socket, Phillips screwdriver, pliers, and a razor blade.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, pry up the switch panel and then pull directly up. Then, push the tab on these harnesses and disconnect both of them. Pry out this panel behind the door handle and then, remove the T30 bolt. We'll just fast forward as Don does this. Now, lining the outside of the door panel, there are three 7mm bolts. Just go ahead and remove each of those. Pry off this triangular panel and then remove this 7mm bolt in here. Now, you can lift the door panel up and off. Next, you want to remove your speaker. Just remove these three Phillips screws. We'll fast forward as Don does this. Pull your speaker out, and push the tab on the harness and pull it free. Pull back your water shield.
Now, you want to peel this panel off and it will peel until it gets to the clip at the bottom. You can try to pull the clip out just by hand. We end up using a pair of pliers to pull that out. Then, using a razor blade, you just want to cut little X's into where you can feel that there are holes and then push it through. Now, you can remove these three 7/16"? nuts. Now, push the harness clip through and then pry out on the tab and pull the harness free. Now, you can pull your mirror up and out.
On the right is the old side mirror; on the left is the new one from 1AAuto. You can see they're identical and they'll mount exactly the same. Feed the harness for your mirror through and then push the studs through the door. We'll fast forward as Don replaces those three 7/16 nuts. Reconnect your harness and push that clip back into the door and then replace your water shield.
Reconnect your speaker. Push it back into place and then, replace those three Phillips screws. We'll just fast forward as Don does this. Now, push that clip back into the door and push that panel into place. Now, to replace your door panel, put those lower hooks into place, and then push your harnesses up through that switch panel hole. Then, line up those other hooks and push the door panel back and down over that lock rod and down into the window seal. We're just going to fast forward here as Don replaces the three 7mm bolts along the outside, the 7mm bolt inside the door panel, and that T30 bolt. Replace that triangular panel. Replace that panel behind the door handle and reconnect your harnesses. Put the back end of the switch panel in first and push down the front, and you're all set.

Perfect fit. Works like original. Only down side was not able to use the existing painted plastic front piece on the new one. Being an older model car the auto parts stores did not have a color match spray paint to duplicate original. Painted both mirrors black (old and new) and turned out good. Would recommend the mirror
Almost was a 5 star

It would have been a 5 if I did not have to reuse the foam from the old mirror, could not get the new one to fit correctly, but beside that looks just like OEM and thanks for the video of how to install
What's not to like?
