Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 21 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video we'll be showing you how to replace a Fog Light on this 2007 Corolla S, same as any 2003 to 2008 Corolla. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and a regular screwdriver. To remove the front face it's actually a series of screws. Here's one and then obviously there's one just like that on the other side. What you do is you pull your back and you can see right there, that's two. Then underneath look at the front, there's one there and then one right there. Then, this is a screw here, this little bumper. This it's kind of a screw. You can actually just pull the center of this up and then pull the clip out. Obviously another screw, and then there are two connectors. You can use a little screwdriver and pop them down, and reach them behind and just pull them out. There are two of them, one there and one there.
Once you've done all the fasteners out you just start on the sides, pull down, and pull out. There's a clip here, I'm just going to shake it and pull it out, and it's free. Do that on the other side and then it pulls right off. Okay, so we got the bumper cover off the car. To replace the fog light, this is an S model, so it has this extra ground effect. First we're going to remove that ground effect. So we're going to remove these three blue plugs here, use a little screwdriver just to help you push in the tab, push it in there, and pull them up. There's one right down here, you push in, and pull it out. Now there are these silver tabs that push up. You want to try to push the bottom up and use the screwdriver, and push down, they come out. Again push the bottom out, and with your screwdriver, pull them out. There's a little tab right there, just push down and now I have the ground effect off. This fog light it's really easy at this point. I'll clip here, I'm going to push on it in this way and that just clips in and then it comes out. So there is your fog light.
Obviously to re-install, you put it in, make sure you have this little tab here that goes in the side. Then, just push that clip through there and it's re-installed. Okay, the ground effect, pretty easy. Wrap this around first over here and then this all comes around. Now, you just push them in, install your blue plugs, and then you can put the face back on the car. Here's were just going to speed through putting the front face back on, just in the interest of time. If you did want to see this in detail just look for front bumper cover replacement on a Corolla in our other videos and you can see the install in real-time, but you can probably get it after you've removed the bumper cover and just by watching this fast motion probably you'll get an understanding. You do need to be careful with the bolts up underneath, make sure that you clip everything together. First, the plastic goes up above the face and stuff.
