Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Open the hood. Pull the release handle down here above your knee. Release the safety, which is right here. This hood has hood struts. Open the air box and remove the two 10-millimeter screws or bolts. They're on each side. There's one here. It's captured in the plastic. I'm just trying to loosen it up. That's loose. There's one in the back side here. Lift the air box up. Pull the air filter out.
Here's the air filter we pulled out of our vehicle. Here's the new one from 1aauto.com. Virtually identical. Same rounded corners. This little extra square corner here just tells you how it's orientated when it goes in. I just got dirty from where I touched it, but otherwise it's brand new and clean. It'll work great in our vehicle.
I'm just going to lift up this air box. Now, you can see, there's some debris in here. Where are my gloves? I'll pick some of this stuff out. Reinstall our air filter. It's just got some grease on it from where I was touching it. There are two plastic tabs on this side of the air box. They need to lock underneath these sides of the air box. Get those locked in first. Push them forward and under, and then push the air box cover down. It should slide in nice and smoothly like that, and then reattach these bolts. Let's see. They're tight. Going to stop. The same for the one in the back.
