1999 GMC Suburban C2500 Gas Engine Fuel Tank TRQ FTA07699

I don't know why but this gas tank isn't a perfect fit for this truck. It looked by eye to be the same one when I received it, as far as placement of holes for pump, hoses, etc. The bolts for the straps which hold it up into car do not go up to where they should, at least an inch and a half different and the skid plate doesn't fit back over it, missing by about the same distance. One part of tank is touching frame slightly, which I don't think it should at all. Had my mechanic put up on lift to double check my work and he says it is in correctly, looks like tank is just taller than the original one. All hoses, lines, pump, etc replaced with new, cushions from original tank glued on in exact place as old tank.
