Hey friends, it's Len here at 1A Auto. Today we're going to be working on our 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 and I want to show you something very basic, replacing the wiper blades. We're just going to come right over here. You can lift up the arm a little bit, not too far obviously. You don't want to mess up your hood. On the bottom there's a little squeezy-do, give that a pull and off it comes. You'll notice you've got the hook on the arm here, and that's what this part latches onto. When I squeezed, I pulled on that and it released the lock on the bottom of this. Now we would just do the same to the passenger side and replace the blades.
Now it's time for the re-install. You're going to lift it up, take it just like this, bring it so the arm sits inside the groove right here. Just like that. And then just slide right on down. You're going to feel a little click. There it is. Give it a nice little tug. If it slides right back off, obviously the lock's broken and you want to replace the blade. This one's locked in great. There it is. Same for the other side down the road you go.

I'm Andy from 1A Auto. In this video, I'm going to show you how to replace the front wiper blades on the 2012 Ford Escape. If you need parts for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1Aauto.com.
So, I'm going to grab the arm, slide the arm up, and then, at the bottom of the blade, where it connects to the arm, there's two little tabs. You push them in on both sides. Then, you're just going to rotate the blade up like that, pull the blade off.
So, then I'll pull the arm back up. If you push this arm down, just gently put it down on the glass, you don't want it to get slammed down on the glass. And then, I'm just going to slide the arm in right like this, and then lock it in place. You might have to push in on those two little tabs. Make sure it's nice and secure. Gently put the blade down here.
And you can do the same for the other side.
