Hi, this is Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how to video helps you out. Next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks. In this video, we'll show you how to replace a side rear view mirror on this 2000 Nissan Altima. Pretty easy repair. You just need a small flat blade screwdriver and a 10 millimeter socket with a ratchet and extension.
Okay, just take a small screwdriver. Carefully pry under here. You don't want to scratch anything. Pull straight out. Okay. Keep pulling straight out down lower. Okay, basically it's just three little pins. Then right here is your harness connection. Press up on the little button here. Disconnect it. Pull up this little piece of foam to make it easier to get to these bolts. Then there's three 10 millimeter nuts holding the mirror on. Fast forward as I remove those three nuts.
New mirror from 1AAuto. It comes molded in black. Obviously you can bolt it on there and it's going to fix the problem of a broken mirror. If you did want to paint it to match, you can be as crude as just going to the hardware and finding something, paint in the can that matches okay. If you want a better match, take your vehicle to an automotive parts store that has a paint department. They can use the VIN or the paint code on the vehicle, match it, put some in an air charged spray can and then you could refinish it yourself. Obviously you would want to tape off the mirror and you can tape off the gasket and tape off the connector and everything.
Installation is pretty easy, straightforward. We're in. Start one of the bolts on, or the nuts. Fast forward as I get the three nuts into place, kind of hand tighten them and then tighten them up nice and firm. Don't over tighten them. You could break the mirror but you want to tighten them nice and firm. All right. Put this back into place. Reconnect the harness. Put this back.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality auto replacement parts and the bets service on the internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person.

What is there to say about a mirror. Just like new. Had to be painted. Got a good match on the paint, and it fit like the original.
