Great product, it fixed me right up!
The pump came and i proceeded to change it. Very simple 4 18 mil bolts loosen a couple of hoses and its good to go. I used three floor jack because it was full of gas. Hardest thing is the removal of the retaining ring that keeps the pumps metal ring stationary on the tank. The new pump came nicely packaged, i compared both, they seem to be exact. Installation is straight forward. After the fuel line and return is disconnected, inside the tank are to clips that need to be released for the removal. Make sure the new sock on the assembly slides through the opening and you hear the click. Fuel level float points towards the front of the vehicle. Anti seize the bolts , put a coating of grease on the vent and fill tubeas well as the fuel return hose. I connected the two fuel lines,, fuel return i plugged the power source in, and connected the vent hose. I jacked the tank up as straight as i could. Lined up front holes, installed the bolts about 8 turns jacked the rear of the tank
Yes, Installed into a 2002 Excursion. Works fine. Only issue I had was the fuel level is a bit off and that is probably my fault. I must have bent it going in, or old one coming out. I used the old one to set my new float. I didn't want to pay to pull the tank, since it had just been topped. I cut a hole above the tank based on measurements I found online and was able to do it from above. That made removing the ring around a bit harder and also placing it back, making sure it was sealed. I also had to cut the old wires to attach them to the new pump.
