Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the headlights or service the bulbs in the headlights in this 2004 Chrysler Sebring. It's a sedan. It's pretty much the same operation for the convertible as well. It's applicable for model years 2004 through 2006. The items that you'll need are a new set of headlights from 1A Auto, an 8mm socket and ratchet, and a small flat blade screwdriver.
Maybe you're looking to change the bulbs, or maybe you want to put a new set of headlights in because yours are clouded, dull, and faded like on this car. You can see a new set of headlights from 1AAuto.com clears things up. If you're having trouble seeing at night, or you just want your car to look a little better, a new set of headlights from 1AAuto.com will help you out.
Locate the two 8mm bolts that hold the headlight in place right there and towards the corner. Using my 8mm socket and ratchet to remove those bolts I'll go ahead and fast-forward as I do that. Take the headlight and pull it out. I need to wiggle it a little bit. Push down and then pull out.
Go ahead and zoom in on the two connectors in the back. Right there I'm using a small flat blade screwdriver to pry up and then pull out on that socket. On the other one you're going to find a little maroon clip. You're going to need to use that flat blade screwdriver again. Pry that out, and then with your finger, press in on the tab and disconnect it. All right.
If you're just looking to service the headlight bulbs, that's a twist type socket and the bulb just pulls straight out and the bulb just gets pushed right back in. As for the main headlight beam, it's got a little circular disc that goes around it and holds it in place. Once you get that out the bulb, assembly, and socket as you can see they're all one piece.
Going back in you want to line up tabs on the socket and with the housing, and then put the circular locking collar back on. With this bulb, again, twist the socket and pull the bulb out. The bulb goes back in straight and then twists in.
Now, going in with the headlight, whether you're replacing it with a new one from 1A Auto, or putting it back in after servicing the bulbs, you're going to want to connect your two connectors that you took apart, and then slide it in place and make sure that the holes at the top where the two mounting bolts line up with the front end there. Drop your long bolt in, on the end board side, and your shorten bolt goes back over back by the fender. I'm going to go ahead and fast-forward as I tighten those up. To align your headlights, inside they're clockwise or counter clockwise on that screw to raise them or lower them.
