Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this helpful video helps you out. The next time you need a part for your vehicle, think 1AAuto.com. Thanks. In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the front grill on this 2006 Mazda 3, pretty much the same as a 2004, 2009. The only tools you'll need are a small flat blade screwdriver and a Philips screwdriver.
With your hood open, there are two Philips screws at the outside edges of the grill and we'll fast forward here as you remove those. Then there are six clips, we're pointing to it with a screwdriver here. You pull out on the grill and put some pressure on those clips, you'll see that first one came out without any pressure. Unlock the clips and pull the grill out. Then it comes off. You may want to transfer your original emblems to the new grill, kind of the same thing, there's little tabs that lock it onto the grill. Press the tabs and push it through and you can pull that emblem off if necessary. Put your emblem back on the new grill by snapping it in place.
Then the new grill simply line it up correctly. Be careful as you line all the tabs up. Press it in. Make sure it locks in and then start the two Philips screws at the top. Once you tighten those up, you'll be all set.
