Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out. Next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com, thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to service a tail light on this Chrysler Pacifica. We'll show you both if you just need a change of bulb, what's the process for that, as well as if you need to install a new tail light because yours is broken. At 1AAuto.com we sell very nice new replacements. Pretty easy process, you'll need a 10 millimeter socket with a ratchet and s small screwdriver. On either side when you open up your tail gate you'll see two bolts that hold in your tail light, 10 millimeter socket ratchet like this or 10 millimeter wrench. I recommend the socket ratchet because this can be a little difficult to get out sometimes.
I'll fast forward here, as we speed up and remove those two bolts. Once you have those out, you shake your light around a little bit. Pull up and out. If you just look in the change of bulb, all these bulbs they just twist counterclockwise and come out. Bulbs, you just it pull straight out, and that in. If you have a broken tail light you'll want to take out this, move this little red connector, push it up like that. Then there's a tab right here, press that tab and disconnect your light. You'll need to transfer your harness over to the new light so you'll want to work this out, just use that small screwdriver to try push these clips through.
Let me speed it up here. Those clips are a little bit of a pain. You just pull on that connector from one side then use your screwdriver to push on the other side. If you want to you could cut a corner by just pulling the connector off and leaving the clip behind, then your connector will kind off flopping there and could rattle in the quarter panel of the vehicle, but sometimes getting those clips out could be a little bit frustrating.
Okay, just turn all of these. Again, I said turn counterclockwise. The new light from 1A Auto; put this one in first, twist the lock, twist the lock, and reinstall that right in there. Plug in there, lead, and then push the lock, put the light in place just kind of peek back in here if the lamp is pinned, just push it in.
I'll speed it up from here on out. Just tightening up those bolts nice and firm, you don't want to over tight them, you don't want to break the light, but get them on there nice and tight so it doesn't rattle.
