Brought to you by: 1AAuto.com your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how to video helps you out. The next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we are going to show you how to replace the front headlights or service the headlight bulbs in a 2007 Pontiac G6. It's going to be the same operation for the 2005 through 2010 G6. You will need a 7 mm socket and socket wrench and a little flat blade pocket screwdriver. Locate the two 7 mm screws that go in through the top of the headlight and then the three plastic rivets on the front bumper.
I am going to fast forward through the removal of those 7 mm screws. Using a flat head pocket screwdriver to lift up on the center part of the plastic rivet and then going back and taking out the outer portion of the plastic rivet with the same screwdriver and then just remove the other two clips. To remove the light, you are kind of pull out, shove the inside in underneath the bumper cover and then pull out a little bit. It will get hung up on the bumper cover down below. So you need to reach down, kind of unhook it there and then you are going to pull it forward and out.
Pull up on the clip to release the connector and if you are looking to service your bulbs, this is where you will do it. There are three covers on the back. The first one there you will see your high beams and you twist the cover off and twist the bulb out counterclockwise and once you got that out and it can be tricky because it's in there with three prongs. You can find the connector. You will see that it's got the two tabs on either side and as you pull out on those tabs you can pull the bulb out and if you are looking to just reinstall a new bulb, go ahead and put your new bulb in now. Reconnect it, line up your three tabs with the housing. Put it in at the point which you took out the old one. Press it in and you are going to want to twist it tightly till it is seated. Once you are done with that you can go ahead and put that cover back on.
Then you have got couple of little parking lights and blinkers and those are twist as well. This particular bulb though just pulls out of the socket and the new one goes in just the same and then there is one more right on the side and that's another pull out type. You are going to twist the connector out, give it a good pull and then pull the bulb out and insert a new one and tighten it back up the way you had it.
Here's the old part and here's the new part from 1A Auto and it's got the same harness as the factory, so it will go right back in. The locator pin on our old headlight had broken off inside their body, so we are going to pull out the clip and fix that. With that broken piece out we are going to try and salvage that clip that goes in to the body so that our new headlight will be able to fit right in. I am just using a pocket screw driver, prying it out and then once I get it out I will be able to insert it back into the body. Got the clip back and I am just going to pop it right back into the body.
Reconnect the connector. Note the locating pin and the clip in the fender, insert the headlight on the inside and then move it towards the outside, get that locating pin inserted, get the bumper cover lined up around the headlight, line up everything. Now you can start by reinserting those clips, put the outside of the clip in first then lock the middle of the tab down and we will end up here kind of in fast motion as we put the other two clips in, then reinstall our 7 mm bolts and tighten those up and you should be all set.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Please feel free to call us toll free 888-844-3393. We are the company that serves you on the internet and in person.

Product received was exactly as pictured and described. Bonus for me was that both assemblies arrived with lamps included even though they were not supposed to. I ordered online Sunday afternoon and A1 Auto shipped them out the same day. I believe I received them on Wednesday. Product was packaged very well. Great job and I would buy from A1 Auto again in the future.

July 19, 2018
This pair of headlights was cheaper here than anywhere else, and you can't beat free shipping! The installation video was great, and I had both light assemblies installed within 1.5 hours. It would have taken less time if I had the right basic tools. Clean, bright light is now in front of me when I drive at night.
Wouldn't Recommend

Have had several problems with them so far! First the turn signal on the passenger side didn't work, next the headlight on the driver side didn't work, which may be a connection issue, but more than likely not. Next, there is an issues with the seal of the headlight on the driver's side, as there is a fog on the inside of the headlight that is starting to form on the inside headlight cover.
Problem headlight.

October 9, 2018
At first it was a great buy. After installing the headlights however a few days later one of them started getting condensation inside of it. I assume the rubbee seal is broken in some area. I am unsure of any return or warranty policy. I am also extremely busy maybe someone will read this review and give me some insight as to wether or not I can fix this problem.

Would suggest sealing yourself with sone clear caulking easy to do plenty of videos out there on this subject. Also maybe some small drain holes on the underside. Usually with these headlights the seals are the weakest link. Other than that the new appearance will take years off your cars look!! Especially considering the great price
Great replacements!

Probably the easiest set of headlights I've replaced in the past couple of years. Installing these headlights in conjunction with the 1AAuto how to video easily took less than 30 minutes start to finish. Supplied with new bulbs for all 3 positions in the assembly it really can't get much easier.
Completely changed the look of the car, made it look almost new and the improvement at night was very noticeable.
Great product and excellent packing and shipping.

The parts fit well in my 2007 Pontiac G6 GTP. Need to buy complete set of bulbs even though the set comes with test bulbs in place. The tricky part was removing the existing lights which I had to damage to dislodge from the socket. After that installation was a breeze and the new lights fit snug and can be remove easily.

Wish I had a photo to show but the fit finish and function is every bit as good as the OEM parts(actually better, they aren't yellowed and cloudy). No problem ordering these for another vehicle.
I will order any parts from A-l auto parts.

They work beauful, I like the way you show how to installed with the vidio.
Not too bad. The drivers side fit like a glove. The passenger side was a bit tricky. Facing the headlight the part on the left that clamps down on the car didn't fit flush to the car. So when you tightened it down it pulled up on the headlight. I didn't really notice it until I drove on a bumpy road and could literally see the light bouncing up and down. I solved the problem with a few washers to fill in the space and it works and looks great now.

Yes one leaked and they sent me a new one no questions asked. The other one the clear plastic started pealing and they sent me a new one. I had to pay return shipping in on the second one but that's because the warranty was up. The customer service I received was exceptional and I would definitely buy from them again for that reason and the price was right.

Do these have the same issues with the bulbs overheating the pigtails and shorting out the wiring? That's the issue I'm having with my factory lights and from what I've read, it was a major issue with the G6. The OEM wiring was not made to handle theJanuary 31, 2017

This assembly comes with bulbs and the wiring that you have to plug your vehicle wiring into. There is NO need to pull the wiring from the old light fixture.
Hardest part was getting the old headlights out and that took about 5 minutes! All together both sides replaced in less than 30 minutes!

Do they come with the bulbs?June 29, 2018
C A

Yes they do come with bulbs which the company tells you not to use them because they do not seal properly we already had to replace two right side is under warranty its the only lights that we ever had trouble with moisture inside Enter an answer to this question.

Hello,
These lights are brand new aftermarket parts and come just as pictured with the lens, housing, and mounting panel. These lights do not include bulbs.
Occasionally, lighting manufacturers will leave test bulbs in the lights. If you happen to receive a lighting product that comes with bulbs, they should be replaced with your original bulbs or with new bulbs.
Leaving test bulbs in the light can cause condensation, which can lead to electrical shortages and leave you needing another replacement. The bulb should be properly seated in its position to avoid condensation in the assembly.
Thank you!
