Do these lights have a harness or "pig tail" coming out of them or does a connector plug into the bottom?

Harness. So your truck will need to have the clip.

Lights dont tighten down?

These lights should be able to attach the same way as the originals.

Do you have to remove headliner to install ?

2009 GMC Sierra HD Cab Roof Lights

My OEM roof lights stopped working on my 2009 GMC a couple of years after purchasing the truck as new. I replaced the lights with these lights at 1A Auto in July 2019 and they have been working fine since. The fit was perfect. Removing the old lights was challenging due to build up of dirt and debris, but once the new ones were installed, the lights shined perfectly. Nice to have more visibility when plowing snow.

Plugged right in and bolted on well. The gasket is a little thick and holds the base up from the body about 1/16". The biggest problem is that it formed condensation inside the lens just a couple days after installing. We are in the middle of a drought and I have not wasted the truck. I can only hope this does not cause corrosion later.
