Do not get this factory one. The gasket slips out out of the valve cover when you try to install it no matter how much grease or silicon you add to keep it from coming off the valve cover. Purchase the aluminum one instead or one where the gasket sits on the head trust me it will save you a big headache
It works great
The overall fit is fine. I had to do the job twice. The gasket over 3/4 plugs fell into the motor, and I did not know until it was all back together and no idle, colossal vacuum leak. That sucked. The two corner pieces do not overlay the existing motor sleeves (tiny guys) should have told us to pull those sleeves as the back bolt firewall side did not grip correctly, and I had to create a new tap bolt. That was scary. After the second fit, all went well, and happy with its performance. I lightly glued the gasket in its channel before installation and then touched it from under to ensure it was there. Another watch out... some plastic pieces from the original fell off and into the valve area, including one of the bolt sleeves from the old housing too. That would have caused engine trouble.
It doesn't fit e83 bmw x3 at all. First one leaked where valvtronic sensor is all over sides not internally. Second replacement sent leaked where valvtronic motor gasket meets. My motor runs lean on both replacements. Cheap junk do not buy buyer beware! Take this item down and quit trying to sell it to unsuspecting buyers.
Perfect fit. Came with all gaskets attached and preset screws. Comes shipped ready for immediate install . Cant forget the how- to video sent to my email explaining in detail how to change the valve cover. Very helpful . Thanks A1 Auto
I'm writing that review to say that I bought this gasket 6months ago. Had it installed by a bmw shop and only 6 months later it's already leaking .. I'm disappointed in this purchase and is a waste of money
