Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the center console latch on this 2003 GMC Envoy XL. It's the same part and similar process on the regular Envoys from 2002 to 2009, and the only items you'll need for this is a new center console latch from 1AAuto.com, and a Phillips screwdriver.
Open your center console, and then remove these two Phillips screws. Then loosen these two Phillips screws. You want to loosen them about half way. Then, lean the latch forward, and pull it up and out.
On the left, is the old center console latch; on the right, is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they'll fit exactly the same. Pull the inside panel forward, and feed the latch down and into place. When the holes are lined up replace those two Phillips screws, and then tighten up all four of the screws. Then close the center console, and test out the latch. You can see it works, so you're all set.

Center latch lid
The old center latch lid broke and i had to get that replaced and lucky that 1AAuto had a video on how to replaced it and didnt take me that long to take out the old part and put in the new part just like 123... now the center console latch Lid locks perfectly.
Plus i have tried to find a replacement for it on other site but they dont carry a lot of items compared to 1aauto has more options for my truck than other site. I am already looking into getting more from this site.

Easy fix
Easy fix for a floppy center console lid. Seems a bit pricey for a simple plastic part though.
