Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service the bulbs, as well as replace the entire headlight assembly on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. It's the same part and similar process on these Suburbans from 2000 to 20006. There are no tools required for this procedure.
Just pull out on these rods and then lift them up and out, and now your headlight will pull free. You do have to maneuver it by pulling out on your grill a little bit. Just lift up on these tabs and pull these harnesses free. Now to service the bulb: you just twist the socket counterclockwise and pull it out. Then twist your new one in clockwise to lock it. Both bulbs are the same procedure.
On the left is the old headlight assembly; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they're going to fit exactly the same. We also have a couple performance options at 1AAuto.com that will also fit just as well.
Take your new headlight and reconnect those two harnesses. Then push the outside end in first, pull back on your grill, and push in the inside end. Once you have it back in place, you want to just slide that rod back down in. Once the headlights lined up properly, it'll slide right down, and just push it in to lock it. Do the same thing with this one and then you're all set.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to service the bulbs, as well as replace the entire parking light assembly on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. It's the same part and similar process on these Suburbans from 2000 to 2006. We show you on the passenger's side, but the driver's side is a similar procedure. The items you'll need for this includes new parking lights from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, and a 10mm socket and ratchet.
Start off by removing your headlight. To do that, you just push these rods in, and then lift them up and out. Now you can pull your headlight out. Just reach down behind it, and you can see there's a tab right here on the parking light, just push that in, and your parking light will pop out.
To service the bulbs, you just push the tabs on the socket and turn it. It's counterclockwise to remove it. The bulb pulls straight out. You can push your new bulb in and twist it back into place clockwise to lock it. This middle one is the same, and the one on the end, just pulls straight out, bulb pulls out, new one goes in.
Now, to replace the entire assembly, remove all three of your sockets from the light. On the bottom is the old parking light; above it is the identical match from 1AAuto.com and above that is a performance version we offer. Both parking lights will fit exactly the same as the stock parking light.
Now twist your sockets into your new parking light assembly and push this last one in. Then push this tab in first into this slot right here, and then just push the parking light straight back into place. Line up your headlight and push it back into place. Then push those rods back down in, turn them back inwards to lock them, and you're all set.

I really love the look of these headlights and marker lights! I currently am having an issue with the driver side however. Im not sure if it is the headlight housing, or the bracket, but the housing wobbles when driving. This causes flickering bouncing of the light. Will update once I know the cause.

Look and Function Great

January 30, 2022
Only issue is that it does have more play than the oem headlights, so going over a bump or something will have them "bounce" more, but they function fine and that isn't really an issue... My oem light assemblies did have some play in them, just not as much.

Fit well. Nice upgrade . Need a 4 mm socket to adjust . Do you know where yours is? Would be nice if they threw one in kit
Perfect fit and perfect replacement for my faded OEM lenses. Easy installation. You may have to adjust your headlight aim after install.

Good quality and good fit. If using LED head light bulbs have to losen the three head light screws slightl
Substantial improvement over the factory headlights. Now you can see while driving at night. They don't work miracles, but will certainly make you feel more comfortable driving around. I also think they don't look tacky and the build quality seems to be pretty good. Installation was easy and fitment was Chevy-good.

I bought mine a few weeks ago. Not shaky BUT to adjust the level of the lights is tough. Don't have a small enough socket to fit. Does not use torx or the external torx tool.

I purchased a set of just the headlights a couple years ago and they look and functioned great. My only issue is the tolerance on holes for the release pins are too large so they have play and do bounce a with any bump you hit, which is annoying and overtime weakens it. I had someone lean on mine and break it so I was planning on getting them again and maybe use something to snug them up but that is my ONLY hesitation on purchasing these again.

Does the assembly come with bulbs? If ot, where can I buy bulbs?November 11, 2023
John D

New light bulbs are not included with this assembly. Occasionally, manufacturers leave test bulbs in the lights. If you receive test bulbs, you'll want to replace them with your original bulbs or with new bulbs purchased locally.

The adjuster screws are E-10 torx they are 2 long rods pointing down on the back of the lights. One of the rods is accessed through a hole in the core support. The other is close to the fender. The adjustments are not on the headlights you just bought, but in the frames you clip them into.
