Looks like a great part, but due to not coming with the mounting screws, I need to buy them and now have a car I can't drive until then. The original screws had a metal ring blocking from taking it off.

Took longer to get old plastic one out. This went in in about 5 mins. I have run it a couple hundred miles. No problems, no leaks, perfect fit.
Replaced OEM Plastic part with this aluminum part with temperature sensor. Replaced all 3 temperature sensors. Radiator sensor is replaceable. This sensor is replaceable. Plastic Thermostat temp sensor is glued in and not replaceable. Temp sensor on Aluminum Thermostat Housing Assembly is replaceable. These are Upgrade / Lifetime parts. Great product. Don't have to worry about upper radiator hose blowing off broken plastic part anymore. Easy to replace. Well designed part.
Much better than the plastic one from GM
This product out of the box was immediately a higher quality over the factory plastic one. I had no issues with fitment or leaks and even the gasket seems to be more sturdy and solid over factory. Highly recommend this part even if your plastic one isn't leaking yet. It will.

No, nothing is needed on the gasket. Just be sure to have the mounting surface completely clean.
