Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly, that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video, we're going to show you removal and replacement of the side view mirror on this 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Tools you'll need are a small and medium flat blade screwdriver and a 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension.
Maybe your mirror has been smashed or it's like this. The inside kind of falls apart and now it flaps around. Start with a regular screwdriver. Put it up under, a quick little pry. Same thing here. Okay. Pry that up. You can see this got two clips, front and back. Okay. Then you want to turn it over and you will unplug all these harnesses. Basically, several thumb tabs. Pull them up. Okay, skip that one. This one pulls up very easy. Use your screwdriver. Just pry that up a little bit then lift that off. Then over here, screwdriver on this tab. Pry it up a little bit. Hook it right out. This comes out. Now, around your door handle here, you're going to see some little tabs, little slots, you can inserts a small screwdriver. Push down your screwdriver and then pull out with your hand. Work your hand underneath. Another tab right back here. Push down, pull out. Then there's a couple up top. Okay. Those ones, you push up. Okay, one more right here. Okay, this whole thing comes out. If you have the memory seat and everything, you can now just pull this whole harness right up and out.
There are two 10mm bolts. One there. Then one way down in there. 10mm socket with a extension and ratchet. This one's really easy to get to. Pull this one out. This one. You're going to start. Unscrew as much as I can. I just felt that fall which is okay. Once you have those out, then you can start up here with your hand. Just work it underneath this triangle. Pull out and then just kind of work your hand under the door panel. It will get harder and harder to slide under. Just pull. Okay, keep working your hand under, pull. Work your hand under, pull. Actually here's my bolt from that arm rest. Okay, work our hand under, pull out. Okay. Your door panel comes off. Remove this gasket. You can see that our harness lead comes all the way down here. Pull it off the door. 10mm nuts. Okay, speed it up here a little bit as I loosen those up. The mirror comes out.
Okay. New mirror from 1A Auto. Has the correct connection and everything. Just reverse the procedure. Take that down in. Okay, here we'll fast forward again as I put those three nuts on and then tighten them up. You want them tight nice and snug. You don't want to over tighten them because the mirror base is plastic and it could break. Put that installation back in. One thing I did forget to do here is just kind of run that wire back into its clip when I did that before I put the door panel back on. Now, I'm going to fast forward here through putting the door panel back on just in the interest of keeping the video a little bit on the short side. Once you get it off, it's pretty easy to get back on. If you do want to see this in real speed or regular speed, just check out our other videos for the Trailblazer front door panel, remove and replace. Okay. I'm turning the key on, put the window down just so you can see and do a quick test on the mirror. You can see it works.

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the side mirrors on this 2003 GMC Envoy XL. It's the same part and similar process on the regular Envoys made after 2002. We show you on the driver side, but the passenger side is the same procedure. The items you need are a new side mirror from 1AAuto.com, flat blade screwdriver, 10mm socket and ratchet, and a putty knife.
Pry up the back of your switch panel with a flat blade screwdriver. Then, pry up the front. Pull the switch panel up and out. Push the tab on these two harnesses on this end and disconnect them. Then, use a flat blade screwdriver and pry up the tab on the remaining harnesses. Next, remove this 10mm bolt in here, and this 10mm bolt right there. We'll fast forward as Mike does this. Using a putty knife, just push this back in behind the door panel and slide it down until you find a clip, and then, just pry out. Then you can reach your fingers back there and just pry out around the edge. Then, just pry out on this small part of the panel up here and lift your door panel up and out of the windowsill and it's free.
Pull out the padding, and then, pull your harness from the door. Make sure the harness is free. Then, remove these three 10mm nuts. We'll just fast forward as Mike does that. Once those are removed, push down on the tab on the inside of the mirror and pull out on the mirror at the same time. Then just pull your harness out of the door and it's free.
On the bottom, is the old mirror. Above it, is the new mirror from 1AAuto. You can see they are identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Feed the harness of your new mirror back through the door. Then, line up the mirror and push it into the door. Once it's clipped in, replace the three nuts and tighten them up. Push the padding back into the door.
To replace your door panel, push the harnesses back through this hole, and then, lift the door panel up and into the windowsill. Once you have that lined up, push it down into place. Then make sure the clips are lined up and then just hit them back in around the sides of the door panel. For these bolts, what you want to do, is be able to hold them into the socket, so use a little bit of glue or any kind of a piece of cloth. I just have a little electrical tape put on the bolt head. Stick it into the socket. That way your screw will stay in there. Then you can just put it right in and start it. We'll just fast forward as Mike replaces and tightens up those two bolts. Reconnect the harnesses to your switch pack. Line up your switch panel and push it back down into place.

Mirrors should be replaced in an "option for option" fashion. If your mirrors do not have the same options that are listed in our listing, there is a possibility that this mirror may not function properly.
