Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20 plus years of experience, restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly that's going to save you time and money. Thank you and enjoy the video.
In this video we'll be showing how to replace the rear hatch struts on this 2003 GMC Yukon. This is the same for any 2000 to 2006 Yukon Tahoe or Suburban Yukon XL. The only tool you'll need is a small flat blade screwdriver.
If you have a droopy tailgate, you're probably no stranger to this: a broom holding up the tailgate. It's really easy to fix.
What you need is a small flat blade screwdriver and you'll work it into the clips by the rods. It's not a bad idea to have a helper holding up the tailgate. Pull these clips out a little bit and then pull the stabilizer off. Same thing for the bottom pull the clip off.
At 1A Auto we have the exact stabilizers that you need. They'll come with the clips in them. All you do is put them back on the clips. Make sure you have the cylinder side up and that it's on tight. On the bottom one, you'll want to lift up on your tailgate. After you do that the tailgate will stay up on its own.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Please feel free to call us toll free 888-844-3393. We're the company that serves you on the internet and in person.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the rear hatch support struts on this 2002 Suburban, same as any 2000 to 2006 Suburban. These commonly go bad and your hatch won't stay up on its own. The only tools you'll need are new hatch support struts from 1AAuto.com and a small flat blade screwdriver - as well as someone or something to hold the hatch up.
These four struts are held in by little clips that you just pry out with a small flat blade screwdriver, here and there. You'll want something or someone to hold the hatch up while you pry out and pull off one end of the piston. Then, repeat that for the lower one pry out and pull off. We do always recommend you do this in pairs.
Put them back on, just make sure the clips are in place on your new ones, and press it on the top. You may need to lift up tailgate a little bit and press the bottom one off.

Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the rear glass support pistons on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver side is the same procedure. The items you will need for this is new rear glass support pistons from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
At the top and bottom of the piston, you'll see these clips. You just have to pry out on them while pulling it from the stud. Make sure you have someone or something safely securing the tailgate glass. Just pry out the clip and pull the piston from the stud. Do the same thing up here.
On the bottom is the old piston; above it is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they'll fit exactly the same. Take your new piston and just push both ends on to those studs and you're all set.

Got a pair of liftgate supports and one ended up being defective. 1A-Auto IMMEDIATELY shipped another pair free of charge. I use the liftgate on every business trip and thanks to their RAPID response I didn't miss a beat. 1A-Auto will now be the exclusive parts supplier for my Yukon XL Denali and I will highly recommend them to everyone. Thanks!
So easy my wife couldn't believe I installed them.

After putting up with getting my head bonked too many times by my lift gate, I ordered the lift support kit which arrived in a reasonable amount of time (free shipping). Watched 1-A's informative Youtube installation video, and then installed the 4 lift supports. It took all of maybe ten minutes. Hands got a little dirty from the grime. My wife couldn't believe how easy and quick it was to install--she cynically expected an afternoon process.

I looked all over my local parts stores to find these. No one had them in stock. I could order them individually for about twice the price. It was nice to buy the complete set. Both the tailgate and hatch work like when the truck was new
