In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the head light switch on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. The items you'll need for this is a new headlight switch from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
To start off, we need to remove the dash panel, so just make sure your steering wheel is horizontal. Pull down your shifter all the way down and then just pull out on this panel, and you want to slide it forward and up and over the steering wheel. Now, pry up on the side of your headlight switch and pull it out. Then, just push the tab on this harness and disconnect it.
Take your new headlight switch, connect the harness, and then push the switch back into place. Take your dash panel, put it up over the steering wheel, tuck it down behind that steering column, line up the panel, push it back into place, and you're all set.

I have problems with my dome lights not coming on and my headlights not staying off when the parking brake is on. The headlight problem was okay at first, but then they came on with the brake applied after a few uses. The dome lights never did come on ( I had replaced both lamps ). All fuses checked good. I don't think it's a problem with the switch, but it is driving me nuts! My suburban has cruise control, would that make a difference as to which switch I should have ordered? Help!
