We're going to remove the mass air flow sensor. It's right here off the air box air cleaner assembly. Start by unplugging it. Place that aside. This is a T-15 Torx screw. Make sure you grab those screws so you don't drop them. Just pop this out. It's got a little seal on it. It'll come right out.
This is the old mass air flow sensor. It's got five pins in there. This is the new one. Five pins. Virtually identical. These are your heating elements and sensing elements in here. You don't want to touch those. Just leave them alone. It's got the O-ring in here that's going to seal on the intake tube. This should fit right in.
We're going to install our new one. It does have a key here and a key here. It also has an arrow in the direction of airflow. You just want to make sure that this arrow is pointing towards the engine, 'cause otherwise this key way shouldn't let you install it, but you don't want to try to force it. That should seat right in there on the O-ring. You'll feel it seat right in there. You got your screws, T-15 Torx, just have a very light Torx. Basically hand tight, 'cause they're just screws in the plastic. To complete it, just plug the harness back in.
Thanks for watching. Visit us at 1AAuto.com for quality auto parts, fast and free shipping, and the best customer service in the industry.

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the mass airflow sensor on this 2011Chevy Silverado 1500. The only tool you'll need is a T15 bit and a ratchet or a T15 driver would also work.
Your mass airflow sensor is right here on this air intake hose. You just want to push the tab on the bottom of that connector and pull it free, and then remove the two T15 screws on either side of the airflow sensor. Once removed, the sensor just lifts right up and out.
Now you just push your new airflow sensor down into place, and you replace those two T15 screws. Reconnect the harness to the mass airflow sensor, and you're all set.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

I didn't know what the was until I translated the code from my analyzer. This part is essential to the performance of my pickup. New gen Chevy trucks have electronics galore;and this part is a big player in the performance of the vehicle air flow and fuel mixture. Mostly easy to find and replace near the air filter housed in the duct work going to the throttle body. Be careful and do not touch the device during install with your fingers or it may become inoperable. The part is pricey so read up on install techniques.

Worked. And the engine light went off on its own. I thought I was going to have to change the high pressure fuel pump under the intake manifold. Light came back on then went off again and stayed off.

Hi, I have a cadillac escalade ESV flex Fuel E-85 Ethanol. My code P219A is showing up again even after getting my intake manifold gasket and purge valve solenoid and O2 sensors replaced. would this fix the problem. One thing though, the P0171 , P0174 code scanner is gone. but the P219A code is back again. I search the P219A code that it might have someting to do with MAF sensor. Any advice or recommendations? is this the right part that I should buy? thank you.
The right part for the job

This part doesn't work for my truck. I had a p2270 and p2272 code. I put this new mass air flow sensor on. Now it gave me p2270, p2272, p0171 and p0174. I clean the old one and got p2272 and p2270 code. My truck takes e85 fuel. I am going to the dealer and get a new acdelco part.
