Tools used
Trim Tool Set
Safety Glasses
1. Removing the Side Mirror Glass
Move the side mirror out away from the truck to make it easier to work on
Tape masking tape over the mirror to keep the glass in place if it happens to crack (note: we recommend wearing safety glasses in case the mirror glass cracks while you're working)
Insert the trim tools under the glass to pop the mirror up and out (if you have a hard time getting the glass out, you can also remove the upper outer plastic mirror covers and insert the trim tools around the upper part of the glass to remove it)
2. Replacing the Side Mirror Glass
Line up the mirror plate's tabs with the mirror cover's tabs
Wiggle the plate around until it locks into place
Remove the paper from one side of the mirror plate tape and line up the sticky side with the plate before pressing it down
Use a pick or screwdriver to remove the paper from the other side of the tape
Line up the mirror glass with the plate and lightly press it into place
Move the side mirror back to its original position

Disappointed with the instructional video and the instruction page
Marc
January 28, 2022
The video showed the mirror came in 3 pieces and separated easily in your hand. It did not. In effort to get it separated, I tried prying it with a screw driver. Afraid of breaking the mirror I called 1A to find out it does not come in three pieces but it was already one piece from the factory. I then asked about the removal of the of mirror. The video said to use a trim tool or screwdriver to pop the mirror up and out. I duplicated the procedure but the mirror did not pop up or out. The instructional sheet was worthless. I asked the representative how difficult should it be. I put a little more pressure in the upward motion as in the video and broke all the tabs. Therefore, I have nothing to secure the new mirror assembly to.
Warped mirror

The part itself looks just fine. However, when I installed it on my vehicle, it warps just slightly. The warp causes the mirror to distort the view. If I close one eye it looks fine. But with both eyes the slightly concave shape cause my eyes to seem cross-sighted.
Dont buy

Zero stars. The warped mirror makes it very hard to look at and use
Great for the price

This non-heated version uses the OEM mounting bracket so it stays on very well. It is not as smooth as the OEM version but it is also really cheap.
Unfortunately, I realized when I put it on that I needed the heated version so I had to return it.
Just having the videos are a great help!
