Water pump fit perfect and great quality. Love the price
I ordered a water pump for an 08 Duramax LMM. Pump arrived timely and seemed well built. Steel impeller versus the plastic, which I liked. It takes approximately 6 hrs to complete the entire process of changing this pump, because you have to remove the harmonic balancer, which is a job in and of itself. Anyway, assembled new pump into my existing housing, reassembled everything...the pump was making a gear whine. Sounded like a super charger. Messaged 1A and they sent another pump free of charge. Disassembled the motor again and removed the old new pump and waited. Pump arrived within 3 days! Measured the pump gear and impeller diameter, found that the gear was slightly larger, milled gear to factory dimensions, filed teeth as smooth as glass. Assembled pump into housing, assembled truck...the pump still whined like a super charger. Disassembled truck for the 3rd time, went to Autozone and bought a Duralast pump and housing assembly. Reassembled truck and the whine was gone. The only t
