Camera resolution is great. This is a direct replacement so the install was not hard at all. It does require a little time and patience as feeding the plug into the hole of the tailgate can be a little frustrating at times. I recommend electrical tape and a wire coat hanger to feed it through.

It did improve the foggy original camera, but that's about all I can say. I put a large HD screen in the truck and had hoped this new camera would be high def, but it isn't. It's a clearer, pixelated image.

This item is not specific to models with or without the remote lock system. This item is specific to some other options. If you are able to provide the year make and model as well as confirm the vehicle was originally equipped with the EZ Lift and Lower Tailgate Rear View Camera we can confirm fitment for you, thank you.
