Unfortunately this part is made out of brittle plastic. As soon as any pressure is put on it it shatters. The good news is 1-A Auto is a great company. They were very responsive to my issue and assisted me with a refund.
This partisan made out of cheap brittle plastic. 1st time I attempted to install it it caught in the slot it was supposed to fit into and shattered. It is rendered useless. Way over priced for such a cheaply made item.
First one broke on installed was quick to send me out a new one ?got it in seems to be ok for now
It is just the bushing that goes on the passenger side of the tailgate. It keeps the tailgate from slamming down when opening
