We use this kit to repair the tailgate on my son's 2002 Chevy Avalanche. We did have to reuse the hinge sockets that attach on the bottom of the tailgate from the old tailgate. The ones that came in the kit were the wrong ones for his tailgate. But all in all his tailgate is working now and that is what counts.
Easy to install and now my gate closes with one push instead of ten. The quality of the parts seems to me to be OEM.
This kit is a great value and gives you every piece you need to rebuild your tailgate. I bought this kit because I thought I was going to need to find a donor tailgate because literally everything was broken on it. All the parts fit perfect. Everything has good plating and paint. When I first closed my tailgate after the rebuild I wasn't sure if it latched because I was used to having to slam it and this closed and latched so soft. I should have done this 100,000 miles ago.

Great price. The latch rods are different than the originals in my 2003 Avalanche. These have the bent ends that fit through the handle assembly, mine were straight. I did not attempt to install. I will say that the bent rod ends are absolutely a better connector, I have replaced the handle previously and the straight rods rely on the plastic clips which fail. This new part may work; if it does it will be an upgrade.
Everything fits and works perfectly on my 2001 Chevy Silverado. Not aure why the bundle only had 1 tailgate cable but the bu dle was better than buying everything separately. Tailgate is good to go now!
