Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a front engine torque strut mount on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. We show you on the mount on the driver's side, but the passenger's side has the same part and the same procedure. The items you'll need for this includes a new front engine mount from 1AAuto.com, and a 13mm and 15mm socket and ratchet, and a 15 mm wrench.
The mount is held in with a 15mm bolt and three 13mm bolts. For the 15 mm bolt, you're going to need a wrench on one side and your socket and ratchet on the other. Then you can just remove the 13mm bolts. Once those are removed, the mount just pulls free.
On the left is the old engine mount; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Put your new front engine torque strap mount into place and put the bolt through it. Push it down. Then replace those three 13mm bolts and tighten them up. Replace the nut on the 15mm bolt and tighten that up. Once they're all tightened up, you're all set.
We hope this video helps you out. Brought to you by www.1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet. Please feel free to call us toll-free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the Internet and in person.

I'm not a professional mechanic but was able to replace the orig mounts in my Buick which has 225k miles on my carport. Just need a little patience when removing the lower passenger side mount. Eliminated excess "Bump" in vehicle when changing gears and breaking. All parts fit nicely.
Thanks!!

Overall, great experience. Parts fit well and helped prob9I had. Shipping was fast. Only thing I would rate as less than perfect was the nuts for the passenger side mount. Originals were of better quality. However, I couldn't reuse as the threads on new mount were different. When I torqed to spec, nut started to give. Had to use slightly less torque. Still, great price, service and experience. Would recommend.

Top mounts were not built to correct specs. Holes did not align without force and compression.
Motor mount used different size bolt and nut from original.
Trans mount was okay. But immediately after setting trans down on it. The mount started compressing to about 1/4 of the available height.
Works well.

Most mounts were as expected and looked comparable to OEM. However the passenger side engine mount was NOT exact and did cause an issue getting it in place and fastened appropriately. However It did go in and works as wxpected now
