Yes this will fit a 2002 Dodge Dakota quad cab with an automatic transmission. The engine size does not matter for that year.

This fit in my 2004 Dakota crew cab with 6 cylinder engine. Easy to install, but try to reuse the old bolts on the propeller shaft; the new ones require an Alan Key and they are a pain to put in.
