Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks!
In this video, we're going to show you removal and replacement of fog lights, as well as just changing the bulbs. It's a 2008 Dodge Ram. Same for 2002 to 2008, 1500, as well as the 2003 to 2009 2500 and 3500. You'll need new fog lights from 1AAuto.com, as well as a 10mm socket and ratchet.
You can access the back of your fog light pretty easily with the vehicle on the ground, but we're going to raise it up and just show you better underneath. If you're just looking to change the bulb, and for removal and installation, turn the bulb counterclockwise, pull it out, and you want to disconnect by pulling on the tab here and remove.
If you're just installing the bulb, reinstallation is just the reverse of that. Plug it back in. Put it in so it fits, and turn it to lock. You want to make sure you don't touch the glass part of the bulb when you're doing that, on the new bulb.
To remove a broken fog light, just remove these three screws. They're 10mm: here, here, and here. The light will come right out.
Reinstallation of the new light from 1AAuto.com, although we are just installing our old one, because it's in perfectly fine shape.
Put this side up in the first. Put it back in. Start the three bolts in. Tighten preliminarily. Check it from the front, and move it up and down if you like, and tighten up the bolts. Install the bulb as needed, and make sure it's plugged back into the harness. It's the same procedure for the driver's side.
Thanks for tuning in. We hope this video helped you out. Next time you need parts for your car, please visit 1AAuto.com. Also check out our other helpful how-to and diagnosis videos.

Practically snapped right in on the driver side, passenger side took a bit more work. Had them in for a few weeks now, and no issues.
I'd bought the cheap ones on Amazon, and let me tell you it is night and day, the difference. The clips on the amazon were't uniform and were rounded, so they wouldn't catch on the bumper. That and the plastic was just cheap quality.
The pair I bought here are definitely the way to go!
Fit great

It took a little doing, but once I finally got them to pop in place they look way better than the old crunchy ones. I bought these during winter, and had to wait for a warm weekend to install them otherwise they were just too stiff.
To make them pop in, I first put the clip at the deepest part of the bezel in place (easy), then worked the top clip into place (took a bit of effort), and last worked the bottom clip in place (took a LOT of effort). To get that last clip to go, I literally bent the bezel until I could see the clip through the bumper which also gave me some surface area to push with my thumbs. I was very careful to avoid creasing the plastic. When the clip finally caught, I quickly massaged the plastic bezel back to its correct shape while also (theoretically) pushing the clips deeper past the bumper sheet metal.
To my surprise, there are no signs of cracking or scarring where I bent the plastic.
Your mileage may vary!

EXCELLENT REPLACEMENT FOG LIGHT BEZELS

I needed new bezels. These are a good fit and quality. I like another person bought the ones from Ebay. Well of course they didn't fit. They were all deformed and both broke the tabs off that hold them in place. Bought these and a HUGE difference. They fit well and are more flexible when trying to install them. I suggest placing them in hot water right before you install them. This allows enough tweaking to get them in easily. So much better quality. Thanks for supplying a good quality part at a good price. ??

They just slide into place. Old ones come out just as easy. They are only held in by tabs/clips

Dave, I have the same question and asked it to 1A Auto a few weeks ago. How can something that comes out easily be so hard to replace!!!

The bezel and the fog lights become one being held in place with the bolts from the fog lights

The bezel has alignment tabs on the sides, and should press into the bumper which has the same set up. You will need to use some force in order to have these stay in place.

Mine just snapped into place. They have stayed put for 6 months now, no problems. This was the third set I tried, and the only set that fit. Very happy.

You have to remove the factory bezel first. Best thing is to use a small screwdriver and stick in beside the bezel and bumper cause it to flex so you can pull it out.
When installing the new one put it up to the hole in the bumper might have to make it flex a little then it should go in. Dont worry if its gapped a little it while lay flat after it warms up.
